La Chata Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Clayton

We've been here many times. And we always enjoy the food. We always order a quart of salsa so we have some for now and some for later. Today we drove here from Rio Vista which is about a 35-minute drive. I ordered their special Barrilla burrito. It was large and stuffed full. Unfortunately it was all rice and beans and I couldn't find any meat. I took it back and asked about it and they said they would remake it. When I got my second burrito it was half the size barely had any rice or beans at all and only a little bit of meat. Not to mention that there was so much black pepper in the salsa it was all I could taste. You could see little flex of pepper all around the edges of the container there was so much! It was supposed to be mild but it was very spicy with all that pepper. I'm super disappointed and I'm not sure I'll be back. I feel like if something goes wrong with your food they would try to make it better the second time. But apparently I got punished for...

For the 1st time, our order was wrong but I didn't even call to complain.... it happens sometimes. But after today.... it's time to review!

Normally there is a younger guy who is extremely pleasant. He is the one who 1st provided the card to present at each visit to earn a free super burrito. This week I went in & there was an older guy (40-50 years). He wasn't necessarily rude but not pleasant either. He stamped the card & told me the next visit I'd get the free burrito. I returned today to redeem the card and he rudely refused to honor it. He litterally told me 2 days ago I'd get a free burrito next visit, and 2 days later says he never punched the card and it's not valid. Well they just lost a loyal customer with such blatant disrespect & lies. Why even have the cards if they won't be honored? Horrible way to...

This used to be my favorite burrito place. I would tell all my friends that they were the only place that actually put vegitable on it not just lettuce. Their veggie burritos were out of this world....no so any more and after our last meal on Monday won't be back. Not only did I find some meat in my veggie burrito but also a long hair in the lettuce...yuk...threw it out! Seems likthe last half dozen times we have ordered there they just can't seem to get the order right...forget the sour cream or guacamole or put wrong beans requested. They are also very confused as to what goes on the fiesta the regular and the super burrito...size and contents seem to change day to day.
