Tachi Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Concord

RIPOFF ALERT!!!! HUNGRY PEOPLE BEWARE!! Price +50%, portion size -50%, service -50%.

Can no longer recommend this place for food, which is unfortunate as I'd eaten here a lot. I've been here many times, probably over 100 times over the years, and the last several times the service has gone downhill a lot.

They feel like they are trying to rush you out the door from the time you come in. The servers will visit you only one time during your meal and you have to speak up otherwise employees will ignore you, they will never refill your drink, and sodas are a $3 can of Coke, don't buy soda here. Portion size is about 50% of what it was a year ago, but also the prices have gone up over 50%+, to about $25-30 a plate. These prices have gone astronomical for mid-grade Japanese food.

When you first walk in they don't even greet you, just ignore you until you can get someones attention by flagging someone down from the back. Also if you order to-go portion sizes are even smaller than normal, and some items you get in store you no longer get in a to-go order in a dinner, yet still pay full price. An item we got was tempura, to go so I cant expect too much crispness and temp when I get home I know, but they only give 2 shrimp in the tempura order where you used to get 3 and less of the other veggies. Amount of meat in other items was about 50% of what we used to get. After a normal dinner that used to cost us about $40, we spent like $64. And after all that I was left feeling unsatisfied, not full like I normally would. It's unfortunate for them as I liked coming here but probably not anymore, unless I want to pay a lot and leave still hungry, feeling like I got screwed over for dinner.

This was my first time at Tachi...oh boy, where do I start? Number 1. Excellent service. Imagine walking in and having people actually talk to you like you are the only customer there. They greeted us, sat us immediately and wanted to get us started asap (as soon as we were ready)...remember this was lunch and we were on a schedule! They were amazing.

I suggest the lunch special! Soup, lunch, chicken, and sushi... OMG! Hot food hot, cold food cold! Perfect!

Affordable, reasonable, definitely worth the price and value!

Highly highly recommend them... I'm going back!

This is our 2nd time here at this restaurant this month, as my daughter sometimes needs a quick snack or meal before her taekwondo training across the street.

The sushi is high-quality, and are plated and presented beautifully. They have some of the tastiest sushi roles I've had (the sake Orange Blossom being our favorite so far).

Dishes are reasonably priced for the quality, and staff and owner are very friendly and always welcoming. Restaurant is spacious, with comfortable booth seating.

Looks like this place will be a regular weekly...
