Ordered from the app in-store because nobody was manning the register. Found out my order sat on the back counter for about 10 minutes before I had to flag down multiple people to get them to check the name and move it to the pickup area (after they first denied it was ready). During that time, every employee walked past the completed, cooling meal multiple times without anyone checking on it or making an attempt to make it available to me, nor did they ask me if it was my order while I was waiting. It was lukewarm at best.
It seems a shift composed of septuagenarians and/or the mentally slow is not a winning formula for success.
Update: Got caught by the old shift again. Apparently, they think they're "slammed" merely because they can't handle the two customers awaiting food ordered 10 minutes earlier. These folks need to be replaced. They can't handle the job even on a Sunday afternoon.
Just go up the road to Franklin or over to Hiawassee for another Zaxby's and don't subject yourself to this one's incompetent leadership.
And, no, Zaxby's, I'm not going to contact some webform with my complaints. The public needs to know so they can decide if they're better off going elsewhere for acceptable service and warm food. Fix the problems, and reviews will improve. Refuse to fix the them, and the free market will take care of the problem for you.
Update 2: Tried again with a different shift. Assistant manager Erin took my order right away, and the food arrived before I even reached my seat! Amazing service and the food was hot since there were no delays. I also saw her guiding the rest of the shift making sure all were on top of everything quickly. Excellent work. I pulled up to the speaker in the drive thru to inform the staff I had arrived..it was 1:16 (I know because I had text my husband that I was almost home) I pull to the window and they ask me to pull up. Fine, that’s no problem. What I do have a problem with is sitting for 15 minutes with a screaming 10 week old baby and a 9 year old in the vehicle while 6 other cars have already gotten their food and drove off. I finally had enough and popped inside, leaving my children in a running vehicle which made me upset enough. Then I go inside just to see my food SITTING ON THE COUNTER, ICE COLD.
