I love this place! My grandmother lived just down the road, so I was fortunate enough to know it at an early age. They have the most amazing sandwiches, and I'm gluten free! That says something, because I don't eat bread unless I get a sandwich from Starboard Market. I always build my own instead of choosing from the menu, but people I bring here (who aren't gluten free) love the Portside sandwich. Their scotcharoos are gluten free and they always have plenty of other desserts to choose from for those who can't eat or are avoiding gluten. Read moreWell worth the wait in line! We had a full size Ruben sandwich and full size egg salad sandwich - both were excellent. The Ruben was served hot off a press and was perfectly grilled. The egg salad was creamy, with slices of hard boiled egg present. Two dill pickle spears were include, chilled, crisp and fresh.
A nice selection of salads, ranging from greens to pasta, meat available, were offered. A wide selection of desserts including cookies, lemon bars and more were available. We didn't try either the salads or desserts, but both looked fresh, generous and delectable.
