I am from Alabama and have not found any BBQ restaurants in this area that come even close to what is available in the south until now. The pulled pork sandwich was full of flavor but the particular one I shared with my girlfriend was definitely dry (3/5) However, the sides more than made up for that. The macaroni and cheese (5/5) , greens (4/5), and the homemade fries (5/5) were outstanding. As good as those were, nothing held a candle to the brisket (10/5). This was the best brisket that I have ever had in life. It melted in my mouth and had the perfect flavor. It tasted perfect, even without the sauce (that comes on the side). The restaurant is also in a beautiful location. It is a little dark inside, but there is a large beautiful outside dining area with views of Carillion Park that is the perfect place to enjoy BBQ as the weather starts to warm up. Please visit. Read moreAs a born & raised in the south..I missed BBQ food so much. I’m so picky about it too. I only get it when I’m in the south. So when I heard about Dayton BBQ company, I was very excited to try it out and they did not disappoint!! Ya’ll.. sooo good. The green beans were the best I ever had. The brisket, pulled pork and wings were on point. I hate macaroni & cheese but of course I had to try what my husband was eating (lol).. they turned out to also be pretty good. We loved the barbecue sauce, forgot to ask the owner if he came up with the recipe. We enjoyed talking to him at the soft opening tonight and the service was fantastic.

The pulled pork (my favorite sandwich) was exceptional due to its juiciness and flavor from the rendered fat, yet there was no gristle. The sauce/sides were true Texas style by not being overly sweet (finally). The sauces and slaw had a good peppery and tangy profile to balance the richness of the meat. For what you pay per dish, they do not skimp on the portion sizes. We look forward to eating here again in the fall. This is by far the best brisket around, they seem to know what...
