China One — Restaurant in Clearwater

This was my first time recent experience "trying to order delivery from "China One". I wanted to try a different Chinese restaurant where as many of you know, once you find that perfect Chinese restaurant we stick with it.Not in this case !!! I called for free delivery as they advertised and offered but apparently 1 mile is to far for them to deliver. Let me make this clear, it was not a misunderstanding due to any language barrier. Not only do they not deliver 1 mile but they are also extremely rude as I was hung up on twice and was treated as if I was a hindrance to them.I am an older woman "over 50yro" an that is not how you treat potential long term customers.Not at all acceptable.That is NOT how you run a business !!! During the pandemic long after the state was reopened they offered contact free delivery, I would like to know where they deliver to ? These ppl should not be in business after treating customers "as stated above". This establishment is a waste of time an effort.It wasn't that they didn't have a driver,I specifically asked and they stated they did have a driver.I was specifically told 1 mile is to "far" for them to deliver.. My husband and I moved to Florida from New York City over 20 years agoThe first place we went to was china 1 on Highland. We wanted to try something as close to up north Chinese food, for the last 18 years no complaints then there kids took the orders and it was downhill .Something went wrong with every order we placed. And Whenever we order from one of the kids that work there it's an issue. I must say the owners are the most sweetest people one would encounter. I got to the point that I would just not order anything that was wrong in the past. I am positive that if I complain they would do everything in their power to correct it. It's just when you are tired it's late you don't have the energy to drive back and exchange it. We are very loyal customers and continue to support them. This is a total rip off operation. Twice we have tried to order home delivery and both time they screwed up. The first time we thought it was a fluke. The second time they used doo dash for delivery and we never got our order. China one selected door dash. W do not use door dash because it repeatedly screwed our deliveries. When we called China One to find out what happened, they started arguing with us and then told us it was door dash's problem. China One gave us a number to contact Door Dash, then Door Dash argued with us that they had delivered. We repeatedly explained that there was NO DELIVERY. We insisted on a full refund and China One said it was Door Dash's problem, Door Dash said it was China One's problem. We have filed a fraud complaint with the bank to block the charge.
