Texas Royal Pizza — Restaurant in Cleburne

Okay, so the food is surprisingly good. Better than most, if not all, of the other pizza places in the area as far as taste goes. Quick service as well, so there's nothing to complain about in that respect.

My big issue, has to do with their sanitation and business practice.

To be more specific, if they get an order wrong, they demand that you give the wrong order back before they reimburse or correct your order. That has some very troubling implications. For instance, how do we know that any food we receive from them hasn't already been delivered to somebody else first? There are some serious diseases and sicknesses that can be spread like that. I spoke with the owner, and she said "If I just give you two meals, we would be losing that money." I expressed my concerns over this issue, and she assured me that they do not do that. But how would they not lose money anyway unless they did re serve old food? I told her respectfully that her assurances are just words and mean nothing. I also refused to give back the wrong order, and just decided to take the loss. The whole interaction was respectfully, and the owner did not lose her temper, however she also refused to compromise.

So, anytime you get food delivered from them, there's a possibility that some other customer has already had their dirty hands on it, could've sneezed or coughed on it, etc.

It's a gamble I'm not willing to take. Only wish I knew this before I ordered from them the past couple times. Would've been a 5 star, if not for...

We came down from Burleson for a visit on Friday night and decided to eat out instead of going home. We have been looking for a good pizza place for quite a while, so we googled “The Best pizza in Cleburne” and found this place. We were a little hesitant when we first arrived because they didn’t look very busy and the parking lot was a little dark. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. We found the place to be clean and friendly and although they didn’t have a lot of in-house customers, they were selling a lot of carryouts and deliveries. We ordered 2 medium “supers" with a few substitutions. It came out hot and just as we requested. The ingredients were definitely fresh and plentiful! It takes a little longer than those other fast-food places, but it is a reasonable amount of time for a real good meal. The owner came out and visited with us to make sure everything was good and told us that they also have homemade lasagna and other fresh-made Italian dishes. The worst pizza I have ever paid for! I have always tipped well when getting delivery. Ordered marinara, and other sauces for breadsticks and pizza, did not get them and when I called the delivery driver he said that it wasnt his problem hes just the driver and told me to call the store. Called the store but no answer because they were closed. Called delivery driver back which btw I did tip pretty well and he told me sorry he couldn't do anything about it so I demanded him to call his manager didnt care if they were closed or not, we did not get any of the sauces we had to pay extra for, our bread was literally raw dough under the cheese even have pictures for proof, no silverware with the salad I had ordered. Delivery driver calls manager supposedly and calls back and says that they're closed and pretty much begs that we do not make him go back to work and come back. This place has horrible quality food and awful, rude employees. Obviously this is a poor managed business and I hope they do better for others but for myself and husband we will never order from...
