Just want to start with saying that I was not told to review, and am purely a customer who likes reviewing, because I will be writing a positive detailed review here! As a college student moving back home for online courses, I knew it was time for a new mattress. I've been sleeping on the same $100 clearance twin sized memory foam since 5th grade. I am 20 lmao. I spent THREE months looking for something affordable yet durable. I learned a lot about mattresses because of this, and how complicated the process is. I am a hot sleeper, so that rules out another memory foam (they aren't as long lasting anyway), I needed something plush as I sleep on my side and weigh 120 pounds. I was also worried about edge support, and good coils. Went to mattress firm, and they tried to sell me the most expensive model, and wouldn't even come down on the price other than 7% off and saying that was a good deal. One of the biggest reasons to shop in person is to try it out, and haggle the price, right? I found this store, and thought it wouldn't hurt to just go in. This store might not have a lot of options, but they have QUALITY options. Found the Sleeptronic Edge 7000 Plush and fell in love. All the same qualities as a $2,000-3,000 mattress for $1,000 range! Was comparable to Mattress Firms model, I was so happy with my find. Asked the front desk lady if there was any way she could come down on the price just a little, again, broke college student, and she didn't think she could. The owner came over, and was super reasonable, kind, AND gave me a deal on the mattress. He even took a little off shipping! The owner let me know that if something were to go wrong with the mattress, to come to them, and they would help me out. I can tell they truly care, and this is the biggest pro of shopping through small businesses. Am super happy with my mattress, and I'm sleeping great. We bought a used fridge from them for $600 because our fridge was going out and we didn’t want to lose our food. So we decided to go with them, but within a week the fridge went out and we ended up losing all our food anyways. So they delivered another temporary used fridge in place. No apology mind you at this time. So we decided since we lost all our food we might as well go there and get a new fridge. As soon as we get there and let the lady in the front know what was going on she was rude. We asked her questions like “do the fridges come with filters?” As we have never bought a fridge. Her response was “Well Yea, of course ALL fridges come with filters” in the most sarcastic tone. And after that I was upset. Then we knew we needed to finance it as it was an unexpected expense, so we started looking at the fridges and letting her know which ones we were thinking of and her response is “ Hold on, lets make sure you’re even approved”. It was extremely rude and I felt unwelcome there. Finally after being approved for the financing, we chose the fridge and they tried to charge us for a delivery fee even though we wouldn’t have had to buy another fridge had their first fridge not gone out. But eventually they didn’t charge us the delivery fee, again no apology for all this inconvenience because they couldn’t get a fridge to us till 3 days later. Which means no groceries till then. If anyone could avoid this business I would recommend to do so even though we could have been a isolated incident, but it was a bad experience overall. I do not like to feel like my family and I had a label on us. She was so patient, understanding, helpful, kind, and knowledgeable about every question and concern we had. She assisted us in making the absolute best choice for our needs, and also went the extra mile to help us save as much money as possible, without compromising the quality, durability, and style living room/theater room furniture we were looking for. Our entire experience with Sadie and S & S Furniture has been nothing short of wonderful and amazing. In our opinion, Sadie is an absolute top-notch employee and an asset to the company. She has displayed all the intangibles of a manager with a heart and spirit to connect with her customers immediately upon sight.
