Cotton Patch Cafe — Restaurant in Cleburne

A word of advice...cheek your order before you pay! We called in an order and was told 25-30 minutes. No problem. Arrived at 25 minutes and order was sitting in bag on countertop. There was a lady in line in front of me that i thought was waiting on her pickup order but turns out she was waiting to be assisted! Finally it was my turn and they took my payment and handed me the order and assured me everything was in the bag! Having been instructed prior to leaving home to be sure and check the order i felt out best that i do that. Sure enough my order was missing the chicken dumplings! Then they tell me they ran out! I asked them why didn't they tell me that when the order was placed and they said they may have had them then! Mind you I've already paid remember? I had to really stand my ground and asked that it all be comped. They said they could not comp this meal but could comp a meal for future visit! So...i wait for them fix another meal and tell them i want the other meal prepared again as it was getting cold while waiting. Fast forward to getting my dinner finally and i had to inquire again about the comp meal she promised. I told them this was no way to treat their customers. No response! Idk who trained this staff!! We got sat down didn’t even ask if we need a high chair. The server looked over whelmed but didn’t have that many tables. Manager or gm was great very friendly guy great hire there staff need to be fine tooned a bit on how to do the job better then they did today. To be honest setup is very basic and easy to do this coming from a waiter of 8yrs exp. The food was good but let me tell ya will consider take out va dine in next time because I’m big on service. Word of advice to the young lady don’t had someone something when they got gravy on there hands called using common sense but I guess we forgot how to instill this into a younger generation. Sorry but truth hurts sometimes you need to get some retraining and your host need to just quit if she is going to act like she doesn’t care at all. As for the food max and cheese was good very creamy and had flavor to it. Meatloaf was very flavorful like top 5 for me very moist as well so kudos to the kitchen. Miss was the chicken friend steak was a lil over done on bottom the manager offered to fix it so all wasn’t lost he was very helpful even brought are daughter some Ice cream. Recommend having him coach this staff. Kudos to him very great person there just need him...

I went to get chicken fried chicken for dinner with my son. Service was terrible. We had to ask for rolls, she brought the rolls out with no plates or flatware. Then acted like we were inconveniencing her because we asked for small plates and flatware. My flatware bag only came with a fork, no knife. So,I had to ask for a knife, how else do you cut the bread & spread the butter. We got our food and the waitress never came back & checked to see how everything was. And needed refills our teas, served them (if you want to call it that) like we were dogs. Walked past and just slammed our refills on the table and kept walking. I had barely touched my dinner and my son had only eaten half of his dinner. She brought one (1) to go box, then asked if we needed another one?? We asked for a bag also at the same time, she brought the other to go box but no bag. Had to ask for the bag again and acted like we were asking too much from her. We weren't even asked if we were interested in dessert? I could understand it if the place was packed, but it was a little after 7 pm and there wasn't that many people in there. Just horrible service and the food was not that great. What a waste of...
