OMG, I REALLY like this place! Prepare for a thorough review. I was so excited when Asaka Sushi opened up! I am that person that needs a sushi fix now and then. It was definately better than I hoped for.

The restaurant has a very comfortable, clean, beautifully aesthetic atmosphere. I felt great going solo and with my children. The children's menu options are fantastic. Most places do not have many but Asaka has quite a few, even for picky eaters! They also have fun drinks the kids will like as a treat.
Though I have not sat at the bar, it is gorgeous with lovely rainbow motion lights. The restrooms are clean and smell good.
The staff here are very patient, polite and attentive. Everyone has a calm and delightful attitude. I was super impressed by the great environment, excellent staff, and superb food. Asaka checked off every box and being in my neighborhood was a miracle for me!
The food! Oh my gosh! I am picky picky picky! I used to work at a Japanese restaurant for quite some time myself and well aware of good quality, design, options and authenticity. All food, especially the fish, is very high quality and presented in an authentic and top quality style. I eat raw fish and am very particular about the taste and quality of it. The sashimi here is top notch! The slices are generous, cool, and taste fantastic. The presentation of sushi is very beautiful here. Kudos the the Sushi Chefs! 🥰🥰🥰🍣🍣🍣
There are numerous options for appetizers, entrees, side chocies, and even deserts. ALL food and drink is the BEST tasting and quality I have had (Yes, I mean it!). The price is exceptionally incredible considering the high end environment, design of food and placements and certainly the food itself.
There are also plenty of non raw sushi options as well as many appetizers and entrees. The tempura here is amazing! All the sauces are superb. The wait staff also knows the Japanese lingo, so when I order ponzu sauce, no one every questioned me.
I seriously cannot say enough about this restaurant. Stay amazing, Asaka!!! I swear I wish I could come more! 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰

Read moreFISH ALLERGY ALERT!!! Although the menu lists "Crab or Crabmeat" on certain items, IT IS KRAB meat, which is an imitation crab meat that is made with various types of FISH.....and to a person with fish allergies, that misrepresentation could have deadly consequences. My Rainbow Roll was warm when served, the sushi rice had a mealy texture and the salmon, white fish and tuna were far from fresh. Miso soup is usually a good litmus test for a sushi restaurant, so we should have known to leave after the soup was served. It was obviously made from a powdered concentrate and was just terrible. Not only did the "manager on duty" refuse to take the Rainbow Roll off of our bill, she was going to have the server pay for it out of her pocket if we refused to pay! A TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE and a RED FLAG FOR ALL CUSTOMERS CONSIDERING EATING THERE. The actual owners/manager were called and they acquiesced to removing the charge from our bill and not forcing the server to pay. Our server however was wonderful. She was very kind and understanding and the "manager on duty" should take a play...
Read moreOrdered through the website to pick up. Est. waiting time was 35-45 minutes and my roommate arrived to pick it up on time (maybe even a little early, they left 30 minutes after the order was placed). Food that was meant to be hot (3 orders of katsu chicken) but was ice cold and tasted old. Rice was hard and inedible. We live maybe 3 minutes away from the restaurant, so there's no way it would have tasted old by the drive home. Called to try to get a correction, and I kept getting interrupted. They put down the phone and the person who cooked the order answered, and proceeded to argue with me about the food being cold, saying "it was hot when I finished cooking the order" (of course it was! Bc it was fresh then.)
It's an alright place if you're ordering inside, but to go orders are to be avoided. Two things: if the issue was the estimated waiting time, maybe you should call the numbers we provide when it's done if it's done early. And maybe instead of arguing with a customer, try listening to what they are actually saying and try to correct. It was over $70 worth of food and most of it...
