Crab Bay Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Clementon

Horrible customer service. I ordered the “crab meat fries” and when I got home and open my order it was imitation crab meat over French fries. I was so disappointed because this is not what I was expecting. Nowhere on the menu said imitation crab meat is used. I called the restaurant to speak to them and let them know that this is not what I was expecting and she said she thought I knew that. I said how would I know that if it isn’t stated on your menu, nor when I called to place the order did you mention imitation crab meat is used. She said everyone knows that, I said everyone does not know this because I didn’t. I told her I was expecting the lump of crab meat over fries. She then she asked me (sarcastically) “so you wanted real crab meat for only $9?” I said miss I do not care how much something is because if I want it I will pay for it. It was never about the price, it’s about this isn’t crab meat fries. She then hung up on me. I will never spend my money in this establishment again. They have no respect. I’ve tried their seafood boil and it wasn’t all that great. FYI you can’t trust their 5 star reviews because they have signs posted if you give them a 5 star review you’ll get a free order of fries. Went here with a friend on a Monday, dined in, only two other people dining in. This restaurant is cozy and has three tables and extra chairs around if needed. They appear to be mostly a takeout restaurant, because of the disposable utensils and paper plates when dining in. They do have a great atmosphere and customer service. Seating was comfortable and roomy. The server was also the cashier and was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant and bathroom were so clean. This was the first time eating here. Pricing is reasonable, portions are good. We ordered the fried Tilapia and Calamari with the sweet potato waffle fries. I was concerned with the light color of the fried food but it was fresh, hot, and crispy, not overly breaded and very light on the seasoning, very clean simple fry. The sweet potato fries were the best I ever had, crispy but airy not oily at all. Cannot wait to go back and try the hibachi or seafood boil, which looks delicious. Overall everything was great. I experienced their food and customer service today my order was $68 for Dungeness Crabs, crayfish and scallops when I got home it was the worst their was no seasoning, it was not butter it was oil you did not taste no garlic or old bay the food had no taste at all I was so dissatisfied I called them the lady was very rude and nasty she said they never had complaints before and it was butter not oil now we all know the difference between butter and oil, she just went on and on even to tell me I need to go somewhere else and she hung up on me I called back and she said yes she hung up, I asked her you telling me I wasted $68 she said yes and hung up again. You know you try to give all crab places a try but this one was terrible the food and service and I will never go there again or recommend them to anyone!!!! I made my own butter garlic sauce and took everything out the bag and seasoned it all and put it down in my real garlic sauce with old bay so I didn't have to throw out my $68.
