For starters i've been here about two times before this and both times my food took FOREVER to come out. This time I sat home and ordered a pick up order via door dash so i wouldn't have to sit in the lobby too long. Ordered my food at 9:07a door dash told me my food would be ready at 9:38a. i left my house at 9:30a (mind you i only live 5 mins away] i got there and the line was out the door (immediate thought was yesss love to see that for a black owned business] but i'm like the 5th person in line with about 2 groups behind me. The cashier takes everyone in front of me and as i get to the register she asks me if i needed to order or pickup. i advised her that i actually placed an online order and that it was a pickup for me and not a door dash. The cashier tells me "well you can stand to the side". I stated that door dash said my food was ready for pick up and if the containers available were one of mine (due to me not wanting cold breakfast food). The cashier then states that she would have to bag it all up so she advised me that I could step to the side and wait. I then stated that I ordered online so i could avoid the wait or be subjected to eat cold food. She then thinks that's appropriate to tell me " I can calm down". I start to explain to her it's not your position to tell anyone to calm down your the cashier to take an order and keep it going.. but it was okay i stood to the side and just waited for my food to get cold (mind you fulll lobby NOT A SINGLE SOUL HAS FOOD !!! but this is what the back counter looks like ... so as i'm standing off to the side, on the phone with my fiancée because i'm visibly upset, the cashier continues to be very rude stating to the people getting their order taken "yes i'm the only one up here, i have to state that because i guess its not obvious" making rude comments as such. The customer, in which she made the comment to then states to the cashier "its not that deep". The cashier then goes on to say "yes, i know but to some people it is" so of course i think she's still talking about me so i said "it's that deep to me you have a counter full or food and a lobby full of people with no food... i have somewhere i have to be that's why i ordered in advance so i can pick up and go" ... cashier then proceed to call the COPS on me because i voiced my opinion over what she said .. yes the cops did come and told me they don't have to serve me so i had to get out, which i know is a business law but it was the principle! i left with no food! no money refunded! no apology from anyone in the store! also doordash told me my refund would be $0!!! i had to go through a loophole to contact doordash to get a refund. I solely run a successful nail business with a mass following so i know exactly how customer service works and this isn't it! 0 stars...
Read moreWell where to start on this Saturday morning. First got into the place and put my order in which was called "I Woke Up Motivated" Breakfast meal as a dine-in. Was told it will take 20 minutes and seems what the cashier lady says to everyone. Well it took an Hour and 15 minutes for freakin' BREAKFAST PEOPLE!!! They have like 4 people on the cook line in the back. Had to go up to them and ask if my food was ready yet after waiting 25 to 30 minutes. I knew I should of left and asked for my money back when I saw the family of 4 in front of me and other people as well that have been there before I even got there waiting for a long time. They didn't get their meal till 15 mins before mine. Finally got my food then low and behold the food was questionable after waiting so long. Pancakes look like folded crepes, scramble eggs extremely dried out with cheese (Even though I told them NO CHEESE when asked 2 times), but the only thing decent was the bacon. Now the scramble eggs looked like they tried to chopped up with a knife as if I was a little baby that struggles to eat stuff like that. Which obviously I don't. Just letting you know that after eating and all that wait time, you can definitely do better by making it at home. The other problem is the heat from the kitchen stove over powers the A/C system so plan to be waiting in a hot box for a while. Folks I tried to support this Black Owned business but they need to go back to basics again. They can't handle the orders coming in, cooks don't read the tickets 100% coming to them, and need to focus on quality control especially when the manager is there looking at what they are doing. There were literally 35 to 40 people waiting to get their orders and they are putting them out at snail pace. You can literally see the front cashier/waitress getting overwhelmed and frustrated that the line cooks taking their sweet time cooking the food while food ticket orders are backing up on the wall ticket rack under the cook window. You can see from time to time she confronts them about orders taking to long as well. Ya this place isn't going to hold up to long after people have to wait an hour or more just for a nasty breakfast. And when I used their bathroom there is no hot water coming out of it but has a sign leaning against the faucet handles (Not stuck on the wall here like normal places do) saying "Employees Must Wash their Hands". Wash their hands with cold water while serving our food right? Don't know how people are giving the place good reviews when you can clearly look at the customers upset facial expressions. Talking to each other about why it is taking so long to get their food inside the place while just to pass the time...SMH!! Definitely not coming...
Read moreOkay I’m new to Jersey all the way from Philly I figured me and my wife would try a new breakfast spot since Sabrina’s is our go to everytime! We seen it was a black owned business and instantly ran there when u walk in it’s nice the music is good the cashier which was the owner was very nice but let’s be truthful I love the idea buuuut not having dishes and having to use containers and plastic forks was a little disappointing your wasting more money on plastic then just having dishes and a bus boy also they are under staffed no waitresses you dam near are on your own you just have to pay and clean up behind yourself the food I was so disappointed we spent $75 here the smoothies were great but the food I could of stayed home and made I ordered fish and grits with a side of beef bacon the bacon was hard the fish was not seasoned but fried to perfection the grits was watery my wife had the steak you don’t get to tell them how u want your steak the owner says it only comes one way which is well done I never went anywhere that didn’t ask how you want your steak especially if your paying for it also the potatoes had no flavor or the eggs the food honestly I would give a 6.5 you can make all of it at home then we asked for water I never been to any establishment that didn’t serve you water as complimentary but we paid for waters just for her to give us one cold and one hot like it was okay she didn’t say well we are out of cold waters WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET A WARM OR EVEN OFFER A GLASS OF ICE but again no dishes but cups for smoothies. But no she did what she felt and not the customer should have gotten I’m just so blown with the plastic and at a sit in restaurant they could be so decent I know the owner wants it bad for her business but honestly you gotta spend money to make money and I don’t think this business was ready please get dishes get cups hire more staff get waiters and please listen to the reviews this not to tear down your business the idea is beautiful for the community but honey you have to spend the money so the competition doesn’t over shadow you you said you’ll be there for a yr soon understand you’ll take a lost before you start winning you will do great if you listen without being upset that this review was placed on google other then that best of luck to you...
