EDIT: we had the owner reach out to us and the situation was rectified- I felt its only right to come on here and let people know we had a much better experience this time around… we had the shrimp scampi, steak, and kids burger and it was all delicious. The service was fantastic and the salad bar was delicious! The manager also took care of our bill because of our bad experience the last time which was very nice. The previous server no longer works for the company and they made sure to let us know they do NOT stand for that type of behavior which I really appreciated! We definitely will be back now! Thank you for doing the right thing and making things right for your customers.
A shame we had this experience because this USED to be our favorite restaurant. However, the last couple times we went… the sides were cold coming out of the kitchen and it used to be great. The service was definitely not good (she didn’t ask what bbq I wanted on my ribs, no drink refills, she didn’t ask if we needed any sauces, she got an attitude with my 3 year old daughter multiple times)… but I still had every intention of leaving a cash tip (because I know it’s not taxed)… that was until the server stood over me and commented loudly about the fact that I clicked no tip on the automated pad… then lied to me about apple juice being an “up charge” on the kids menu, and when I told her we would be leaving cash… she scoffed… took a step back and stood there with her arms crossed… not even a minute later when my husband and 3 year old daughter started getting up to go to the car because she was having a meltdown and she could definitely feel the negative vibes this lady was giving she commented “so no one is going to leave me a tip?”… after I just told her I would be giving her cash… she then decided to stand there staring at me until I pulled money out of my wallet to give to her… as you can imagine at this point I’m extremely uncomfortable and I have never been one to not leave a tip at a restaurant or a review so this is a first for me… I’m not even going to be petty and put names on here because I care about peoples livelihood but THIS is not okay. I won’t be going back to this restaurant for this exact reason. No one should ever be made to feel that way over a tip. And you definitely should go back to paper receipts so people have privacy on what they decide to tip. Absolutely...
Read moreThis establishment should be ashamed of themselves. Me and my parents and fiancée came here on Saturday night last week on our way home from visiting family in Georgia.
We did come in about 30 minutes before closing, but I am active duty military serving overseas and have fond memories of dining at Ruby Tuesday as a child so I pushed to come here, although this decision would come to bite me in the ass.
As soon as we walked through the doors, the staff’s negative attitude when faced with having to serve customers 30 minutes before closing was palpable. I understand we came in close to closing , but we were the only people in the restaurant and there were only four of us so it shouldn’t have been much of an issue.
If you don’t want people coming in during your stated operating hours, adjust your operating hours. The food we were served likely would have been wasted anyway since restaurants don’t allow employees to take leftover food prepared throughout the day home. The waitress who served us had a bad attitude the entire time and the staff’s mood toward us ruined the overall vibe of our night.
What really was the turning point, though, was when my mother went to the salad bar, the staff had mopped or something that day and failed to put out a wet floor sign, leading to my mother slipping and falling and injuring her back. I nearly slipped myself when going to help her up.
The staff’s response to this was absolutely unacceptable and infuriating. The manager stood there like a deer staring into car headlights when asked why they had not put out a wet floor sign, eventually mustering the excuse that he “didn’t know why the floor would be wet right now”. Why wouldn’t he? He’s the manager, it’s literally his job to know.
Additionally, the best this sorry establishment could do to compensate my family for this incident was to offer us a free dessert. Which we rejected, because the food we were served was so mediocre and uninspiring, it stands to reason their free dessert wouldn’t be much better.
Needless to say, my family will never be returning to this establishment and we are currently pursuing...
Read moreCame to get curbside pickup and sat in the curbside pickup spot for 15 minutes. The bartender looked at us several times and continued what she was doing (which appeared to be a whole lot of nothing). Finally we called and she acted like we were supposed to have done that when we got here, even though there was nothing in the email or anywhere else to indicate that we needed to call. She said, "I'm busy right now, but I'll get to you when I can." Excuse me? Is my money not worth the same as everyone else's? Mind you, we can see her the whole time. She disappeared for five minutes and then came back and started making drinks. Finally 11 minutes after we called, she brought our food. Every other restaurant can manage to get your food outside within a few minutes. I have no idea why it took nearly half an hour to get our food that was ready when we arrived, nor why she thought it was acceptable to tell us she was too busy to get it for us, but I do know I won't be back any time soon.
Update: waited a year and tried again. Email said the order would be ready at 7:38. We arrived at 7:42. The sign now says to call, so I did. They said the order was not ready yet. Okay, fine. At 8:08 my husband finally went inside and the order was ready and just sitting there. They knew I was there because I called, but I guess I was supposed to keep calling to check if it was ready yet and remind them that I was there? Then we got home to find that one of the orders had the wrong side even though we ordered two of the exact same thing, and one order of mashed potatoes is twice the size of the other. This time it's not a matter of coming back soon; we...
