Just spent 30$ on 6 empanadas and a cup desert.. which was fine with me when it was half moon bakery because their food was A-1..(moved downtown) USED TO BE the best empanadas Iâve ever had.. I was excited to let my family try it.. BUT NOW THEY HAVE NEW OWNERS! And try to sell the same stuff! LET ME TELL YOU.. I hope I donât get sick. :( I ate 2 empanadas and I hope they wasnât old.. and Iâm pregnant.. so I went to eat my desert cup.. LOOK AT HOW DISGUSTING MY DESERT LOOKS! Furry stuff growing on the strawberries mold and the bottom of the cup is all liquid and itâs supposed to be more of a syrup consistency.. how are they giving people food that is noticeably bad? Do they not check the dates of their food? I mean obviously not! If I seen that I wouldnât have ordered anything! When my brother seen my desert he lost his appetite n thought his plate away. How embarrassing! Even the presentation of the food didnât look as good as before.. plus the taste was kinda off.. I just know I wonât be going back! And I donât recommend eating there anymore! There isnât love coming out of that place anymore and the authenticity is gone! Explains why their was no line coming out the door. Place was a ghost town! I was literally the only...
   Read moreWe should have taken a picture- beautiful cake! We ordered an 8â double layer cake to serve 13: four children, a teen, and eight adults for a very special 92nd birthday.
The 8â cake served everyone plenty, and we still had some cake leftover to send home with the kids.
We got a white cake with a layer of FRESH (!!!) sliced strawberries in the middle, and a wonderful chocolate buttercream frosting.
The whole cake had excellent flavors and texture- very high quality at a fair price.
The cake itself was soft and moist, but the best was the frosting- which was amazing because it wasnât âtooâ anything- just perfectly creamy and not overly sweet. The flower-frosting decoration on top was GORGEOUS, and the writing was spelled exactly as ordered.
We had a great experience ordering this cake, and we were very satisfied with the product. We strongly recommend Half Moon Bakery to anyone in need of a special cake for a special occasion. This place is just what we needed in the neighborhood.
A++ and six out of...
   Read moreI had high hopes for Bella Luna, touted as the best spot for empanadas in the city, but my experience was nothing short of dismal. From the moment I stepped inside, I was met with a shocking level of rudeness from the cashier, who also happened to be the cook. His attitude was appalling; it felt as though he was genuinely irritated that we dared to enter the establishment.
Every interaction was a struggle, as he mumbled out responses that left me wondering if he even wanted to be there. When I asked about the menu, his dismissive reply about the lack of Spanish rice was almost enough to make me walk out before placing an order. Itâs hard to believe that a place with such a reputation could deliver such terrible customer service. I drove all the way from Akron, expecting a delightful meal, only to be met with disgust and disdain. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a welcoming...
