I ordered two small pizzas during Super Bowl weekend, when they first opened at 10:30am (a younger lady rang me out) and the amount came to $22.80 + $2.20 tip…totaling $25. I get a hit from Amex later that my bill was $65.98 (at 1:30pm). I can’t get through on the phone so I go back up there (from the east side), the guy figured out the problem and states that she made a mistake and hit the wrong amount for a tip. How’d she do that? There no numerical similarities in a $2.20 and $43.18 tip!!! This was fraud, so watch your cards folks! I’ve never had a problem with this place in the past but this was my first time being rang-out by this particular lady (black jeans, black jacket, and black bandana on her head), so check your morning/afternoon receipts people from that day (or when she’s working). I’ll take this down after I’ve spoken to a manager or owner!!! This person can destroy your reputation!!! I love Gioninos and it hurts me to do this, but I don’t stay silent until it’s fixed (to save others who aren’t as diligent).
Update: Contrary to what the cashier stated when I went back up there (saying it was impossible for a worker to access my card after my initial purchase, apparently it is not), there are two different charges on my CC! Whoever purchased the $65.98 worth of food worked there or was affiliated with someone who worked there. I’m waiting to see if it posts so I can dispute it! I will post pics of the 10:30am charge, that I made, and the 1:30pm charge, that was made by a...
Read moreI went to pick up a pizza for my elderly mother. I was stuck in traffic for over an hour. My mom contacted the Gioninnos on Warren Rd in Cleveland to explain, and they said they would keep the pizza hot. The trip took longer to get there than expected. I contacted them myself, and even went in to explain the situation. The person I spoke with, Kevin, was impolite at best. He really did try to sell me a product that had been sitting under heating for over an hour. The pizza was not for me, but for my mom. Would anyone serve their mother something like that? I asked them to remake it, the cost would have been negligible, but he flat out refused. Now, that is within their right. However, it is poor management at best. Therefore, we will not be ordering anything from Gioninno's again. We were there once, and it is cheap. Not for the more educated palate, and there are plenty of good pizza shops around who seem more interested in being a positive addition to the community. I don't believe Gioninno's Pizza on Warren Road fits into that category. So, if you do decide to go to Gioninno's, in my opinion, it may be best to go without expectation of a...
Read moreOrdered large pizza the first time and it was almost inedible. Grease grease grease, pasty sauce that had a “tinny” flavor and really cheap pepperoni. Gave benefit of the doubt and next time ordered a large pizza & fried chicken. Miraculously, the second pizza was way worse than the first: uncooked dough in many spots, same wretched “tinny” paste-sauce, grease grease grease and, incredibly, it wasn’t cut so that the number of slices were even in size. How the f&@$ can you screw that up?!??!?? Approximately 3 bites of chicken and we pitched it were it belonged: out garbage can. It was, without question, the most disgusting rank fried chicken(or any food in general) I have ever attempted to eat. When I called the bar that Giannino’s is located in and expressed my dissatisfaction, they said it wasn’t their problem. Hmmm...hack pizza place located IN their bar that you have to actually walk through to get to the hack pizza place and it’s not their responsibility to forward customer complaints. After seeing their rag-tag bar and tasting the crappy food-their response doesn’t surprise me one bit. Why? Because...
