Let me start off by saying that the food is delicious and the place is adorable and clean. I would have given 5 stars but there’s a few things management could have done better. For starters, I’ve been there several times to eat and it’s always a long wait. The organization of how to order and the line set up does not make sense and I’ve had people easily cut me because there is no specific line to order food.
More recently, I was ordering lunch and the worker was new and kept asking me how much to put on the plate. I said just fill it as you would and when I went to pay, management was not so happy with what she gave me. They decided to tell her and me that the plate she served me was not a lunch plate. I said well I don’t work here so I just want my lunch order so I told them to change the plate to whatever the lunch portion was. Management told me not to worry that it’s already late and still charged me for extra food when I specifically said a lunch plate and asked them to change it since they had a problem with their worker serving my portion in the wrong plate. Seeing it go all go down and the after math of me paying extra was just so unprofessional. Nevertheless, I do still...
Read moreAuthentic Puerto Rican food. Top notch service. Food excellent. pastries are exceptional. only thing that really sucked was the parking. There is space for 2 cars in front and I had to drive past the restaurant to access one of them. They also said you could park on the side street at the restaurants left corner. If you park in front: You better hit your flasher lights when you go in.( cars are flying by so you better time your exit from your vehicle. ) I bought 2 pastries. 1 was a form of danish the other had 4 layers of something with a light glaze. it was awesome. I got the mixed rice, beans, and stew beef. The portions were enough to ensure you aren't going to be hungry an hour later. Make sure you get some of their Spanish juices or Mexican pop. They had a lot of things there to eat and try. I am going to be there quite a bit. You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck 💵. I give it an 8 out of 10. 8 was for food. 2 demerits was...
Read moreThe wife and I stopped into this bakery while on a brief business trip. We were looking for a quick coffee & breaded toast spot for a quick bite prior to our meeting. The wife looked up on her phone to see any local Latin food spots and were surprised to find a Puerto Rican bakery nearby. We were super excited and looking forward to Cafe con Leche and pan. The restaurant had amazing cultural decor, typical Island packaged eats that you would only find in PR. So we stood in line to order and asked for our bread and coffee. Instantly the waitress says she doesn't have milk for the coffees only creamer. This is not common culturally for Puerto Rican coffee so we were a bit taken back (my wife is from PR by the way). The bread was absolutely AMAZING and tasted exactly how they prepare it in PR. I must say that the staff were extremely accomadating and attentive and made up for the lack luster...
