J & W Smokehouse — Restaurant in Cleveland

Visiting from Cali and never been to this place since they opened many years ago..my first and last time...went through drive thru and they gave me my sweet tea first as I waited on the rest of my order...saw the note on the window regarding making sure your items are correct before leaving or they won't refund...so I decided to check my drink by sipping to make sure it's right and that it won't put me in a diabetic coma due to being too, too sweet..it tasted like sewer water with a metallic aftertaste..I asked the girl could I exchange it for a soda drink...she said she didn't think I could but could ask the manager...I said let's do that...manager said no...so that's all it took to let me know that was my first and last time I patronized this place...it's not like I was asking for a refund so they weren't losing money in that sense...I asked for a simple exchange that resulted in a firm no...family and friends who live here say stay away...BTW, I'm a doctor so anything with a metallic taste let's me know they don't clean their equipment and/or equipment is old and maybe eroding/peeling, and the chemicals from that change the taste of the drink...so no thanks...I'm so use to better service in Cali and international restaurants that fast food places here is served with attitude like they're the owners or something...but I guess with very limited restaurants here (mostly fast food burger places), there aren't a lot of eat out options, and locals are stuck with...

This is HOME and I truly love it there! These are MY PEOPLE EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM!!! The food is incredible and the customer service is out of this world superior! I tell people wherever I go that asks about a great place to get some down home southern fall off the bone juicy bar.b.cue(and so much more)with ALL the fixings I tell them "J&W SMOKEHOUSE" IS THE PLACE TO BE! I've NEVER been disappointed...even if I have had to ask for anything (I'm spoiled so I ALWAYS get it😋😜)they ALWAYS strive to put out great food that they put lots of love in to prepare. Get'cho self on up there...don't miss out cus guess what... I'M NOT!🥰🤪😋😝

On Thursday evening I decided to try this place out. Bad idea the food was so disappointing for 20 dollars you get two meats and 2 sides I received 2 old dry chicken wings and two oily beef sausage old . Everything was disgusting.
