I really enjoyed this wonderful museum. I had the honor of meeting Ms. Lisa Miller who explained the history of the museum. When she heard that I was travelling from Cincinnati to visit my birthplace of Cleveland, she gave me an update on how well the city is doing and recommendations of places to visit. What she was too modest to elaborate on was what an accomplished painter she is. (Yes Lisa I did see some of your work in the Bolivar Commercial Spotlight).

The railroad artifacts, the extensive and highly detailed railroad layout, and the historical photographs of area depots make this one of the best railroad museums in the Southeast. The proximity to the Cleveland depot, ICRR caboose, and old turntable, make this a must see while...

I haven't been to the railroad museum in a few years, and this was my first visit since new ownership.

You're never too old for model trains, and this layout is extensive. A lot of work has gone into it, and it is continuously growing as different details are added.

The exhibits are interesting and tie into the local and surrounding areas.

The new owners have expanded the gift shop offerings to include products from local artisans.

The best improvement I noticed was a published set of steady hours. In the past, it always seemed like whatever day we went to Cleveland, it would be closed, randomly. Now, with a normal schedule, we are confident we can visit again on our next trip...

Trains! Model, that is. One of the largest and awesome layout model railroad this south side of the Mississippi. Pair it with the Railroad heritage showcasing various historic exhibits and other museum worthy tools and trades of those on the B&O! (And everything else too!) Definitely worth the visit (plan at least a couple hours if you plan to closely observe all the miniatures! Very nice fellas run the place and are very friendly! Bring your children for a day that just might lead to a train set of their...

What a lovely place. You can smell the owners passion for the hobby. I felt like a kid again when I entered the museum. It’s not that big, but for sure bigger than the usual home track. Don’t forget the entrance is free and any donation is appreciated. It was nice to visit during my stay in Cleveland. Greetings from the Belgian 🇧🇪 visitor.

You have gotta stop and visit this place... even if you are not a railroad fan! The O scale model they have set up is worth the stop and visit! ...and its all free! Be sure to ask for James! He knows the local railroad history top to bottom! I will definitely make this one of my stops whenever I'm passing through town!
