We have been to this establishment a few times, the first couple of times we enjoyed ourselves despite the lackluster ambience.
Last weekend we came in, ordered drinks and the owner waited on us and we noticed our drinks were really high compared the previous times we had visited but we didn't say anything. Despite the fact our drink prices changed 2x throughout the evening we had an ok time. Ashley was our bartender the rest of the evening.
This past weekend we visited again, same bartender Ashley was working we ordered our drinks and went to sit down. When one of our party went to buy a second round she noticed the price was 2 dollars more than the drink she had JUST ordered.
Now if this had happened once I would have found it to be an oversite, but I really feel as though my all female group was being targeted. I approached the owner and Ashley to ask about the drink price issue and the owner brushed it off as a mistake.
We left and we won't return, I suggest anyone who visits wear your torn/worn clothes and make sure you don't spend too much money, who knows how much your drinks will cost you next time.
UPDATE: A year later I finally get a response to my review and it is exactly what I would have expected from such a āfineā establishment. (See attached) I doubt a year later that anyone was able to āinvestigateā this, but your effort as minimal as it may be, is vastly appreciated!
Iām not surprised in the least, youāre marketing to your target demographic and I get that! šš
Well done!! šš

Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāll start by saying Iāve been to Cleveland a total of 3 times in my life. The first time was about 4 years ago, and my friend brought me and several others to this bar. I had no expectations. Ended up having a grand olā time listening to karaoke and chatting. There was quite a bit of political paraphernalia, which I found hilarious. The next day, another Peabodyās first-timer in our group told me to check out the reviews and the ownerās responses. I couldnāt stop reading and laughing about how he put people in his place and at the āSnowflakeā remarks. The next time I came to town, I decided that I needed to go back and meet the owner, Bill. That occurred, and we had a fun, delightful conversation about lots of different things. Iām now in Cleveland for a third time, and of course I went out of my way to come back. This time, a year or two later, Bill remembered me (kinda) and we had another fun 1-2 hour conversation during which we attempted to solve the worldās problems. Even though I donāt agree with most of his political views, he is very welcoming and I recommend that any open-minded, non-Snowflake people visit this bar. Fun atmosphere and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf youāre going to have a āfavoriteā Pub, this is the one to have! It was mine then and itās mine still. Awesome owners, super friendly atmosphere, great food, great patrons and fun, fun times. Itās a place you can feel comfortable and safe in, because when it comes to trouble makers, they have never let that behavior fly. If you arenāt there for a happy, friendly time, you gotta go. āYou donāt have to go home, but you canāt stay here!ā LOL I frequented Peabodys from 1980 to 1999, ( when I moved out of state), and it will ALWAYS be a part of me and some of the ābest of timesā memories I have ever made. From great friendships to bowling league to softball, karaoke and 25 cent hot dogs on Saturday (now Iām really telling my age! LOL) I never ever had a bad experience. Iām so happy to see that theyāve continued to grow and are even better than before. š I might be stopping in for a new t- shirt this summer! I hope I get to see my buddies Bill and John while Iām there. š„°...
