Right down the street from other bars and restaurants you'll find this spot tucked back near some housing and other business. When you go inside you can tell it has some history and cool stories. It looks like it could almost be a dive bar sort of place but has a real interesting menu with plenty of delicious beers too.
The food was pretty good when we went on a Monday night. We enjoyed a chicken wing special and then each got something interesting and different. My wife got to Winner Winner and liked her chicken, the French fries and loved their Mac and cheese which was the sea shell style noodles, some good cheese or cheeses and maybe a hint of bread crumbs for flavor and texture.
Someone else got the hot chicken sandwich and fries and we're happy. I got the eggplant parmesan sandwich which was pretty good (maybe a little small) and fries and I was pleased with that. Probably an expected challenge was biting into it at times and not pulling all of the eggplant out of it.
I will definitely go back again for both food and drink and sample more of the menu. It's a pretty spacious area and I totally like the laid back bar atmosphere they have going on.
Oh and the staff seemed to know the regulars and was accommodating and funny with us which we...
Read moreUgh! Hate to leave this review.. I’ve been here twice before.. had great food and eh service. But unfortunately tonight was different .. after being in the area I convinced a friend to come in and I’d buy a beer. We waited 10-15 minutes before I even got recognition from the bartender.. no doubt he was slammed .. solo guy and maybe 15 or more seats at the bar.. the other guests look like they had been taken care of prior to us walking in.. but as new guests, a bartender should realize that and at least acknowledge us.. finally made a joke to hopefully gain his attention he got our drink order.. “shiner bock and a high noon”.. looked at me like I was insane for ordering two canned beers directly behind him in the beer cooler and the credit card machine right there .. easily a less than 2 minute transaction..he then proceeded to walk away.. no beers no be right back, no I gotcha give me a minute !! Ugh I bartend I have love for those in the weeds..but unfortunately we had...
Read moreThe Parkview is absolutely one of those places you just HAVE to go to here in CLE. My husband and I are convinced that there is not a bad entrée or beer in the bar. The Parkview has been featured on the TV show Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives and certainly has kept up with the hype brought in by Guy Fieri. There are delicious specials going on most nights out of the week that's sure to make both your taste buds and your wallet happy!
The service is so-so (meaning a little slow), but the people that work there are great and the food is all cooked to order. Even if you're a newbie, they'll treat you like a local that they've known for years. This isn't the place you come to, to get a quick meal... you definitely come here to kick back and have a beer or two with a good...
