I bought this trench about a year ago at an event in Cincinnati. When I tried it on at home the coat had an odd pucker at the hemline. It appeared the lining was too short for the outer layer pulling the hemline up into buckles. I was offended by the return policy, especially since popping into the shop in Cleveland wasn't practical, I paid to ship the trench both ways to exchange it for another. Mind you, this was after needing to push for a resolution for the defect. The exchanged trench arrived and believe it or not it had the same issue. I would have thought they just returned the same coat to me but there was a sleeve detail that was different so it was clearly not the same coat. After the difficulty with the first exchange I didn't even attempt another. My mistake. I accepted I would need to spend what I suspected would be a couple hundred dollars to have it repaired locally by my alterations person. Since Fall weather had turned to Winter and I wouldn't be wearing the coat it went back in the closet and I did not address it until today. I have just consulted with my alterations person who pointed out that the coat had been modified already in an attempt to fix the issue. The fix was cut incorrectly and was creating part of the current problem. Literally, a piece of fabric had been sewn to the bottom of the coat hem, seemed at the bottom and then attached to the lining. So Valerie new about the problem, yet acted as if I was being unreasonable expecting it to be corrected. He suspects a size S or M lining was sewn into the size L trench. He pointed out that it also pulls at the sleeves and the kick pleat because the lining is just too short.
