Yamato — Restaurant in Cleveland

Yamato in Cleveland had a nice clean atmosphere, open concept here, so it is spacious with views of everything around you depending on where you take a seat. The food was average. We ordered salmon teriyaki with rice and veggies and 2 sushi rolls. Not bad, but also not amazing. That being said, I would go again, but I would not order the same thing. The one issue I had is with the overpowering smell of cleaning products while trying to enjoy a meal. When you are dining in, no matter what time, the environment should be clean, and it was, but there was a strong smell of bleach and whatever other chemicals while trying to eat. I really only want to smell good food! When I walk into a restaurant, I want to smell what's cooking, I don't not want to smell chemicals and cleaning products unless I'm in the bathroom, and even then, it should t be the main smell in the building. Everything was awesome. I got a Hibachi Chicken. The teriyaki sauce was perfectly balanced. I am so glad that we have a Yamato in Cleveland now. The sushi was also so awesome.
