If you like to be treated with respect as a customer, and a human being, do not eat at Yoshi Express.
My friends and I went to Cleveland for a birthday weekend and tried out Yoshi Express for dinner yesterday. We decided to have the order delivered through Grubhub, but called and spoke with a restaurant employee to confirm that they received our rather large order and let them know about a dietary restriction one of the ladies had. Once our order arrived, we realized one sushi, the rainbow roll, was missing. I called the restaurant to let them know the situation, fully anticipating, and happily willing, to drive to the restaurant to get the missing roll. A lady answered the phone and I let her know what had happened. She told another lady who then loudly said "give me the phone." A restaurant employee by the name of Mary got on the phone with me and I again explained we did not receive one of our rolls. The first thing Mary said to me is "No. You're wrong. You did not order the rainbow roll." I told her that both the Grubhub receipt, as well as my bank account, did confirm that we had ordered the sushi. The next seven minutes of the conversation turned into Mary screaming over me with every word I said. I could not get one word out without her yelling over me about being wrong. I have worked in restaurants before and just like how I began this conversation with Mary, I am never rude about my food orders being wrong because there is almost always an easy solution that both the restaurant and the customer are happy with. Maybe there was a glitch with the ordering system and Mary really couldn't see the rainbow roll we ordered...but Mary also could have just asked me to come by the restaurant and show her the receipt for the rainbow roll so that we could get this resolved. I did not deserve to be treated with such disrespect by Mary. When I tell you that I am not exaggerating about how I was treated, please believe me. Or you can read the previous Yelp reviews from customers that had similar situations. Even if Yoshi Express had the best food ever, if Mary is the owner, this restaurant is doomed. If Mary is an employee, she may need to find a different profession more fitting for...
Read moreMy wife and I come to this place a lot to eat.It was one of our favorite restaurants. Today, the service was horrible, very unprofessional and surprising to me, because the service is normally top tier. I don't know if the lady was doing service and cooking at the same time, but her attitude showed just that, because of how disrespectful she was being towards my wife by rolling her eyes making snardie, snappy comments plus laying people's drinks on top of trash cans before she served them. Shocking Yes, but I saw it with my own two eyes and my wife and I we're disgusted by it. Then finally when it came to her serving us our menus, which she decided to throw on the table towards us. After this, my wife asked if they have any coffee which she snapped at her saying, no, we don't.We have tea. My wife said, okay, that's fine. What kind of tea do you have? Then the lady rolled her eyes, shaking her head in a disgusted manner and said, "we have two different kinds of tea", not explaining what kind. Showing how upset she was, she tells my wife, she needs to get to the kitchen and pay attention to some food. So my wife said that's fine.Go ahead and do that.I will have my order ready about time. You get back. At this point, i've already had enough, I told the waitress that we are leaving and that we're not gonna put up with her unprofessional disrespect anymore. I don't like to make bad reviews but when you disrespect my wife when i'm in all reality, she was being nice.Even afterwards, I will not accept that. We will never come back to this place ever again? We decided to go to the Mexican restaurant down the road, where the service is great, and the food is even better. If I could give Yoshi express 0 stars, that's what I would have done! A...
Read moreHorrible food and service and the place was filthy! My boyfiend and I went to Yoshi Express tonight and should have turned around and walked out when we first walked in and noticed 6 booths had not been cleaned. There were 5 different menus to order from and all were curled and covered with food stains. The spring rolls we ordered came out about the size of a cigarette and were served n a flimsy styrofoam bowl. Our drinks were also brought out in styrofoam cups, (which was fine), except that both of them had been written on, with an ink pen, around the mouth of the cup. Super strange! The waitress sat a large container of yum yum sauce on our table and we couldn’t help but notice that it had a gross build-up around the top, some sauce slowly oozing down the side of the container and the ridges on the ring on the white lid had dirt (most likely from human hands) stuck all in it. The chicken fried rice came out served on a disposable plate and we and we were given a plastic fork to eat with. The food itself was absolutely disgusting! The rice had no taste whatsover and appeared to be old. The chicken was alright but the dish was served with cooked canned carrots which was odd to me. We could barely eat our food it tasted so bad and when we decided to leave, couldn’t get the watress to bring us our check. We had to walk up to the counter and ask for it. WE’LL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS...
