By far the worst place iv’e ever attended in my life. I’ve come here before many years ago and thought to take my friend there after not seeing him for a while. When we got there the host seated us all the way in the back of the restaurant which was horrible. I’ll explain later on. After doing so someone came and took my order of a tea pot with mint and watermelon mint hookah. Easy right. Simple and to the point. Took about twenty minutes to receive the tea and hookah. Tea you can’t really mess up. It’s just water tea leaves and mint it was good no complaints there. However, the hookah was horrible it literally tasted like tap water that has not been changed for a week. Watermelon mint should be refreshing and I’ve tried it many times but this time it was horrible. Whatever we looked over that... twenty min has passed while we drink our tea ☕️ and smoked the hookah and charcoal began to die off. The charcoal has not been changed yet nor has a waiter come by to check if we needed anything. I had to get off my chair and go looking for the charcoal guy and ask him to change it. My friend and I were talking and laughing and got slightly hungry so I decided to get up and go find a waiter/waitress to place an order. Their service is literally non existent. They never checked on us what so ever. Waiter came by and I order a falafel sandwich which is simple. Some falafel tomatoes pickles and tahini sauce. I receive my sandwich and it is literally demolished the pita bread was split open in all directions and they tried to fix it my placing another broken piece of bread over it... when I saw that I flipped. I took the plate and walked up to the kitchen where I found the owner kamil and handed him the plate and told him I ordered a falafel sandwich and showed him why I was in shock. I wish I had a picture of it to put on this review but I was literally so disgusted I acted on instinct of going to show the horrible presentation. I am paying money to eat something decent not something that’s tossed together like a mess. You can’t even hold it because it’s torn apart. He goes about telling me he knows why it is because the bread is not fresh. WHY SERVE SOMETHING NOT FRESH AND LOOKS HORRIBLE. He offered to take the sandwich back and bring falafel plate with pickles which I kindly declined but he insisted for me to accept and I did. Still got charged the cheaper price of the sandwich (dollar less). The falafel were actually flavor full hence the ONE stars. Otherwise this place gets zero stars for the whole restaurant. Their service is horrible, the waiters never checked on us, nor did the charcoal guy, and the food came out looking like a two year old put the sandwich together. They also seated us all the way in the back which was outside. Get it together please. Last time I’m...
Read moreI called the restaurant on September 9th to make a reservation for September 14th for a party of 10. On the phone I was told I was all set and that it is a $25 minimum per person. Upon arrival, the staff said they did not have our reservation on file and that the outside is reservation only. We were told that we're more than welcomed to sit inside. When we went inside, it was empty. I felt as though it was not my fault that they did not have my reservation, the staff even asked if I was sure if I called the right place. I pulled up my recent call log to show proof. When we were finally seated inside, they sat us way in the back. No one ever came to our table to take our order for an entire hour. We didn't have cups, we weren't given water. Just completely ignored. The place wasn't even at full capacity. There were a lot of open seating. We had to flag down one of the hookah guys to get our order taken. I feel as though we were treated as such because we were Black Muslims. I felt uncomfortable the entire night. I will never come back to the establishment again. Even while sitting and eating our food, one of the workers asked us if we were African??? Super weird. Super uncomfortable. Super unprofessional.
EDIT: The reply is a lie! We were seated at 6:30 and no one came to our table until 7:30 and that is only because my brother got up and talked to someone to serve us. And also I forgot to add that yall tried to play in our face, and it took a lady to say something to yall to get us seated. And if you dont take reservations, why wasnt that said when I initially called? Instead I was told I was all set and there's a $25 minimum per person. If yall dont take reservations, why did yall continue to ask me if I was the party of 10 that had two children? If yall dont take reservations, how come the hostess in the front had paper with a list of names on it?
Take accountability for yall bullshit and be honest. And to be completely honest, the chef is too heavy handed with the vinegar, your food is...
Read moreTLDR: hookah is good. Iced tea and lemonade is great. Service is so-so. First time we went was perfect. second time we went, we were told there was a minimum spend despite the outdoor area being half full.
My party of 4 arrived on Sunday evening around 7:30. We observed that there was plenty of seating because I estimated the outdoor area was only at 50% capacity.
With that being said, when we approached the person to seat us, they told us we had to have a food and drink minimum spend of $25 per person. I thought that was weird because the Sunday prior, my husband and I was at Kamils for only hookah without any problems. We had a great time last Sunday which is why we brought another couple this time around. After a little discussion with another staff member, we were let in despite the minimum spend.
To management, because of this minimum spend, we almost left because we had already eaten and simply wanted to smoke and order drinks. We felt unwelcomed because we didn't meet this spend requirement. yet the place was barely half full so it would have been better to just let us in without telling people about this minimum spend. Business is business at the end of the day and we wanted to give you our business because we had such a great first experience.
Last Sunday, I saw that it was a BYOB establishment and saw another table who had brought card games to enjoy while they smoked. Today, I brought uno cards and a deck of solitaire cards. We were told by staff to put it away. I would like to relay to management that this policy is a bit silly since we are there to enjoy the hookah and not causing any rukus. If you allowed or provided small table games, your place would be THE spot and I would have recommended going to all my family and friends to enjoy your space, food and hookah. Many other hookah...
