Fourth time visiting 303 now, first time reviewing. I think I’ve been hoping with each visit, the previous reviews I’ve read, and my previous visits, would be proved wrong. I want so badly to give 5 stars for local, non chain locations…and although I’ve enjoyed my food on each visit, it is because I have learned HOW to be a patron here. SO, here are the rules I follow to have an ok experience here: 1. be prepared for a drink or food item on the menu to not be available (have a backup already in mind) 2. Avoid main entrees and sandwiches (based on several other reviews with pics included, these typically will not be worth the money they cost you) 3. Order appetizers and salads to share (you will get the most bang for your buck, and decent quality, by doing this) 4. Always order your next beverage BEFORE you actually run out of the first, even if you are the ONLY table in the restaurant. (For whatever reason, based on my experiences and those of other reviewers, no matter what, the service is always incredibly slow. Expect 20-30 mins for any drink to be delivered. Plan ahead and you’ll be good.) On this trip, 2 items I ordered were out. One being a drink that is on their menu and the other being an appetizer on the menu. It’s just a normal thing here. It has happened to me on all 4 visits now over the past year. And they are not going to change that. Expect it to happen and you won’t be too disappointed. Plan for slow service. Maybe don’t go if you may possibly need to get out the door in a timely fashion or want your drink/food in a reasonable timeframe. Set your expectations to mediocre and you will probably be satisfied with your experience.

My mom and I were in Clinton for a pottery class and dined at 303 Jefferson afterward. We ordered the crab claws as an appetizer, which took 25-30 min to make it to our table. They tasted freezer-burned and like they had been fried for too long because it was hard to pull the meat off. My mom wanted to order the pork chop, but our waitress said they were out of pork chops, so she ordered the filet instead, cooked medium. I ordered the "Smoked Ribeye Cheesesteak: House smoked and shaved thin, smothered w/ grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms and our own cheese sauce. $17.50" After waiting 30+ more minutes, our food finally comes. My mom's $37 filet was thin and overcooked to well done and my "cheesesteak" was not smothered in grilled onions and had NO cheese! When I asked our waitress about it she said, "Oh, we are out of cheese sauce. I can bring you a slice of pepper jack if you'd like." The meat did not taste like smoked ribeye but more like dog food. And the bread tasted like it had been old and microwaved because it was hard to chew. After taking 2 bites of the $17 sandwich, I decided I couldn't eat anymore. After tip, this meal cost $120 - we will never return.

I do not leave many reviews. However, this restaurant is overpriced. 1lb of crab claws is $10 according to the average for MS. 1lb. We maybe had 3oz and it cost $17 the bowl was mostly spring mix. The bow noodles plus 4 shrimp(add on) was $29, 4 shrimp were $10. There were not really any vegetables in the pasta. Burger was just ok. The front door doesn’t close completely. So if you go ask to be away from it, it IS still cold out. I got up multiple times to close it completely. The wait staff was decent so I tipped 15%. This was not a meal worth almost $100

We were in the Jackson area last Tuesday for the Rod Stewart concert. We have been to this restaurant before. And enjoyed it. We are from Louisiana. Once inside, the service was absolutely terrible. The drinks were slow coming. One person would get a drink at our table then the next person would have to wait 15 to 20 minutes to get their drink. Appetizers were OK nothing special. Nothing compared to the first time we come in October 2024. There was an elderly couple that come in that sat behind us. They set approximately 30 minutes, no service none. The lady was visibly upset and expressed that she was upset. Well the people in the restaurant that were around they understood why she was upset. The elderly couple gets up and leaves. The manager of this restaurant chases them outside onto the sidewalk and in front of everyone they were having a little market on the street. She was belittling this couple. She was pointing her finger at them. Cursing and talking to them terrible. We witnessed the whole thing, so did the people who was attending the little market on the street. Whoever this manager is, I don’t know her name. The only way that I can tell you who she is and she’s very overweight. She is a terrible person and she needs to be fired. Literally a manager went outside after these people to talk to them like they were dogs. The elderly lady explained to her that they had been there three times in the past to give it another chance, and the manager screams at them and says with them why do you keep coming back?. Well, I can tell you now that we will never come back. And I’m sure other people won’t either after witnessing that fiasco. Clinton is a small town. I’m sure word travels fast. Whoever the owner of this restaurant is you need to fire your manager you need to fire your bartender. She was terrible to us. Our waitress was visibly scared of the manager and the bartender. She kept telling us please don’t call them over here. I don’t want to lose my job. I said you have been a wonderful waitress. It’s the cooks the manager and the bartenders who need to be FIRED. Our first set of drinks were delicious. The second set after waiting on them for approximately 25 minutes the waitress come over and said are your drinks good and we said no and she said they look cloudy. I said they are I said can To the bartender and tell them to fix them like you did the first time the bartender would not redo our drinks. We asked for our money back on those drinks. The bartender would not give us our money back. So then she redid our drinks, but brought the drinks in very small glasses. Nothing compared to the first drink. Who treats their customers this way. Also let me mention this when your manager was out, screaming at the elderly couple Hundred people outside at the little market they saw it all. And your manager screamed at the lady and told her that she had been there 13 hours and the lady told her well ma’am that’s not my fault! It’s really sad that this place has turned into this. Because the first time we highly enjoyed it. We brought friends with us this time and had bragged on this little restaurant and the atmosphere and the food. I was highly embarrassed at the way your bartender and your manager acted. Whoever the owner is of this restaurant I hope you do see this and you need to contact me, sir or ma’am. Service was horrible. Management was absolutely horrific. Your drink time is absolutely terrible. I don’t care what your manager and your bartender tell you. What happened in that restaurant was entirely wrong and it’s all the restaurants fault. I have never in my life seen a manager chase an elderly couple down the sidewalk. I have never had to sit at a table and wait 20 to 40 minutes for a drink to be brought to my table. I hope the owner sees this! We had bragged on this restaurant and brought friends with us. It was terrible and highly...

If I could give a zero star review for service and atmosphere, I would. Zero stars might even be too high. I was greeted by very a kind young man upon entering, and was seated swiftly. An older blonde woman came and took our drink orders. Right off the bat she was snotty and rude. We waited 15-20 minutes before we got our drinks, mind you 2 of the 4 drinks were water. She must have fetched it from the glaciers of Antarctica themselves. When we finally got our drinks, I expressed disdain over the wait time and the server (who I now know as Alivia) snapped at me saying “why would you people come to a sit down restaurant if you wanted fast food” I was so shocked I didn’t even know what to say. I asked to speak with the manager and Alivia rudely and disgustingly goes “yea I am the damn manager” Her attitude was/is absolutely abominable. After she walked away, I watched her pull an employee to the side and essentially cuss her out. I didn’t hear an exact conversation but i did hear Alivia tell the young lady “you need to leave right NOW!” The employee then walked out of the back door. We were re-approached by Alivia and she told us that we would not be getting served that afternoon because we “complained about the drinks” We didn’t even get the chance to order an appetizer and were there for close to an hour. This woman should not be in charge of managing other people, let alone managing a whole restaurant. I have been looking for someone to contact to report her behavior to. If anyone knows please reach out to me. I will NEVER be dining there ever again. Beyond my embarrassment, she disrespected and belittled not only me but members of her staff, blatantly and unapologetically....
