Tucked into the heart of Clinton, MS, The Bank by Pizza Shack offers a promising menu, but my experience left me with more frustration than satisfaction.
Let’s start with the good: the food. The pizza was well-executed, with a satisfying crust, quality toppings, and a balance of flavors that showed care in preparation. It’s clear the kitchen knows what they’re doing. However, getting that food to the table was another story. Service was sluggish from the start—placing an order took longer than it should have, even with a moderate crowd.
One of the biggest disappointments was the bar setup. A good restaurant with a bar should offer a comfortable space to sit and enjoy a drink, but here, that’s practically impossible. The layout is so cramped that if stools were pulled out, there was no room to walk. That’s a glaring design flaw that makes the bar feel more like a decorative afterthought than a functional part of the establishment.
But nothing soured the experience quite like what I witnessed next: a man bringing in his dog, not just into the restaurant, but allowing it to sit in a chair at the table and eat. And no, this wasn’t a service dog. The fact that the staff allowed this was beyond unacceptable. There’s a difference between pet-friendly patios and full-blown disregard for health codes inside a dining establishment.
To top it all off, the pricing was absurd. A pizza, wings, and cheese sticks should never come close to $90—especially in a sleepy college town like Clinton. There’s no justifiable reason for these inflated prices other than charging more simply because they can. This isn’t a fine-dining experience, yet the bill would make you think otherwise.
Ultimately, The Bank by Pizza Shack has potential, but with its overpriced menu, slow service, and blatant disregard for basic dining standards, it’s not a place I would rush back to but will consider on the never ending rotation of...

Orig. Post: I typically get my wings from here and it's usually no problem with excellent service even when they're busy.... but today, I placed an online order around 11am for curbside pick up at 230p. When I arrived at 2:29 and called in, Seth acted as if he was unaware I'd placed an order at all, and after many questions, he finally said they were "finishing it up" and he'd be out in a "second."
2:55 rolls around and we still didn't have our food. So I called inside ((again)) to inquire about the status of my order since I had been waiting so long. They definitely were not busy inside as I could see because I was parked in front of the store. No one was inside of the restaurant besides a couple who I saw walk in a few mins prior to 2:55.
Seth asked again who I was what car I was driving and where I was and what the order was for as if we'd never spoke! I told him and he (((again))) said he'd be out in a "second." About 5 minutes later he finally brought my order out. It was not even hot, I could tell it had been sitting for a while.
I was glad to have my order but very dissatisfied with the "service" being that Seth was not apologetic at all for the long wait or anything. Just basically "here you go" and left. No "sorry for the wait or acknowledgment of the wait at all.
To top it off, I got home and was missing a wing!
This is my first poor experience here and it makes me not want to revisit for a while.

Read moreThe Bank by Pizza Shack is a cool spot in Old Town Brickstreet Clinton as we call it. We ordered to-go after a basketball game, online, which was a breeze to order through their system. We got a medium Big Nasty which has meat and veggies and a medium(but they served us a large)Meat Eater(which is all meat). I need to stress how many toppings there are. There are TONS. The price for the pizzas started at about $23.00 for our mediums plus whatever you may want to add. The price is definitely worth the toppings they put on. We felt like we should have used a fork because it’s difficult to pick the piece of pizza up given the topping to dough ratio. The ratio also made the dough not as crispy as we are used to. Just our opinion. We wished they had more sauce. The pizzas were good and I feel like it would be difficult for anyone to eat more than two slices. There are that many toppings. We also had 6 traditional hot wings. Their wings are breaded, which we are not a fan of but their ranch and blue cheese are good. We ordered two extra ranches but didn’t get those because my husband didn’t check his order. Turns out we didn’t need them but we did pay for them. Our total was $81 dollars and some change. We will return to check out more of their offerings. Shop...
