Not Greek: advertising states they are a Greek restaurant that also serves greek burgers : this is untrue - They open at 11am - we arrived 11:10am. Yes there are gyros, salads, pita bread & burgers however the only other thing Greek is the name they chose (which staff does not know what it means or how to pronounce) + the fact they serve gyros & have lamb available. (*sidebar: they also have chicken, turkey, grilled cheese & chicken strips...but no beef-lamb loaf, no spinach dip, no avocado addon/dip which would be greek. ...Confused yet? ...I was). There is nothing else greek nor are there any 'dip' choices for the pita bread.
The only sauces available are cucumber or vinegarette dressing - which they charge extra for ...or a mayo/mustard packet ...anyway -
The burgers are huge however and a kids American burger would easily feed an adult - I cut it into 1/4 for my child & he only ate 1/2, it was nearly the same size as the adult burger my husband ordered at double the price.
The service is slow & my child and husband both got their burgers to eat at the table before my veggie gyro was even started. I received my gyro about 10 mins later. Veggie gyro: consisted of A LOT of olives, some tomatoes, exactly 2 fries and very little *barely noticable cucumbers, a little grated feta + zero sauce or dressing and very dry crumbly (almost stale) bread -definitely not fresh, definitely not Greek.
The staff brings food to the table as it is placed in the window, so chances are your table will not receive all foods at the same time.
There is quite a wait - to both order and receive food. The bathrooms are extra clean and the atmosphere is NOT relaxing - it is very loud (*do to the hall like design inside the acoustics of people seated echo loudly). We were seated near noone else but heard everyone's conversation on a practically yelling level ...think bar patrons trying to over talk each other, not a great experience at 11am.
I did not enjoy the atmosphere and the food was not what I wanted or expected however everything was cooked and did taste okay.
3 people; 1 adult burger 1 kids burger 1 veggie gyro 2 drinks = $45.00 - would not visit again as it's not as advertised or expected -...

The Place - Krilakis in Olde Towne Clinton is conveniently located in the brick street neighborhood with plenty of street-side parking and lots of shops to visit. Restaurant interior is airy and spacious. Potted plants in the windows add a homey touch. Orders are taken up front and then brought to tables by servers. Customers get their own drinks.
The People – Staff is friendly, professional, and eager to please. Service was prompt yesterday despite our arrival close to noon on a Saturday.
The Food - Portions are generous, food is flavorful, and all five of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The gyros are meaty. They are also massive. Three of the four people eating gyros at our table used forks and knives. The grilled chicken was savory and delicious and the redfish looked especially good. The signature Krilakis Salad, unlike the gyro salads, is meatless but filled the plate and made for a satisfying meal all on its own. No one ordered burgers, but several of us were eyeballing those at the tables around us and are hoping to try them soon.
The Fries - These are not something I associate with traditional Greek cuisine, but Krilakis fries are my new gold standard. Skins on. Brown and crisp on the outside. Tender, almost-creamy on the inside. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Not too salty, with just enough coarse-ground grains. I tried a few fries with ketchup, but ate most of them au naturel. Krilakis fries are pure perfection!
Bottom Line- Highly...
Read moreThe food was great. We went Wednesday with our family and had a great experience from the service to the food. So, my husband and I decided to go back on yesterday. & my husband had an issue with the service. First he said that she took the order with no enthusiasm with her arm prop up on the register and her head against her arm. Next, the order came out wrong. Grace was shown, he asked for all of the toppings on the burger be put to the side as we were not about to get right then. Which is why a “takeout order” was made. Then it came back out they just simply removed the toppings off and handed the plate back. It was then repeated of my husband that “we want the toppings just in another plate” the girl who took the order mumbles under her breath “he didn’t say that the first time” which my husband proceeds to ask if the young lady had anything she wanted to say, because the order was stated the right time. The young lady just had no regard for taking accountability and just saying either the kitchen made it wrong or she put the order in without letting the kitchen known to put everything on the side. Sad to say this disappointed me because the food is really good, but customers should not...
