Bakers Square — Restaurant in Clive

Awful experience! 2 things: dirty bathrooms and uncooked food. My husband ordered the avocado toast without feta. Waitress brings it out with feta. We understand mistakes happen so they sent it back and brought out a new one. This one had no feta but one of the eggs were very under cooked. The waitress doesn't apologize and just ran and got her manager. The manager came over and looked at the egg and acknowledge that it was under cooked. Instead of apologizing and replacing the entire meal he said why don't I go to the back and we will cook 2 more eggs to put on the toast. The manager tells us to scoop the raw egg off the toast and brought out two sunny side eggs(cooked). He tells my husband to go ahead and put the new eggs on his toast. At this point the plate with the raw egg remains on our table and my husband is left to eat a piece of cold toast that had a raw egg on it with the new eggs. Instead of the manager making it right we had to tell him that we would not be paying for this meal that ultimately was never made correctly and was contaminate with a raw egg. When paying for my meal the manager commented that he doesn't see why people order the avocado toast because he finds it to be gross. Well after this experience we agree. I discussed that the manager did a horrible job of making this experience any better and he apologized finally and agreed that he wouldn't eat toast that had a raw egg on it even though he expected...

My parent's and I ate at this restaurant multiple times over two weeks. The service from everyone was excellent. We always were warmly greeted and taken care of. Assistant General Manager and General Manager were always on the floor working hard. My parent's had a true connection with the staff at this location. Some of the servers have been working here for 20+ years. That speaks volumes to me.

Prices were reasonable and the food tasted very good. Always hot and well prepared. I had the shaved sausage eggs Benedict. Never had one bad meal. And how could you not love FREE PIE WEDNESDAY. Taste was amazing.

I would recommend this place to anyone. There are a lot of old people in walkers, scooter's and with cane's though. They always have a smile and are friendly as well.

This place can get very busy on Wednesday's or after 11:00AM. You will be lucky to find a parking spot and not have to wait. Again, that speak's to this establishment.

P.S. Ben should fire the gal who was at the counter on 9/12/17 around 11:30AM. She has no business in customer service. Very slow, had a horrible cough, did not take good care of the those paying and leaving. Not an asset to your company. She was the one with multiple tattoos. Need's coaching...

This is the worst restaurant food I've ever had. My mother and I both ordered the turkey, stuffing, mashes potatoes and gravy. The turkey was a horrific canned turkey that had a fat-like substance infused throughout it. The meat was probably 50% canned meat and 50% congealed fat. What little meat that was there was rubbery and had zero taste. It was probably inside a can for years before this jailhouse kitchen plopped it onto a plate and dumped it on my table in front of my horrified eyes. The gravy was so salty you could only taste the salt and I had to spit it out of my mouth before I choked to death from the toxicity of it. The stuffing was just as salty and inedible. Needless to say I could not eat the food and to this horror house's credit they did not charge me for my prison rations. I will never in a trillion years ever return to this disgusting place. I do not recommend this fake restaurant in the strongest terms possible. Avoid it or you will be sorry. Oh, my mother could not eat her meal here either for the same reasons...
