Clive Aquatic Center — Attraction in Clive

The pool was nice, but the lockers are a rip off. They only take quarters, which would be fine if you didn't have to keep feeding it quarters everytime you open it AND if there was an atm to get cash. 🥴 The staff is all teenagers, even the manager, so dont expect anyone to have any answers to any of your questions. They also don't forwarn you about pool breaks, even if you walk in right before one happens. we walked in right before 3pm, after going back and searching for a dollar in the car to get quarters for locker. We then put our stuff in locker, add 2 quarters... Got in water, forgot sons diving sticks in locker. Go get them, add 2 more quarters. Get back in water. *surprise Pool break. Go to locker for towels, add 2 more quarters.... we stayed for 1 hour🙄 *manager was helpful in offering 2 quarters for free... but WHY IS IT LIKE...

rude life guards who treat grown adults as if they are kids who can't swim. Adult time is a joke the multiple life guards sit at their posts and do nothing but stare and goof off during "adult time" but apparently can not handle one adult swimming in the deepend. They turn the slides off now and claim 3 life guards have to watch one diving board with hardly anyone or nobody on it most of the time. I watched 3 life guards just sitting at their posts joking with eachother nobody was in the pool and they claimed adults can't swim back and forth because they are only to watch the diving board but the life guards can get in the deepend and goof off laughing and messing around thats great glad they are paid for this. This pools is a joke for 8 dollars a complete joke if you are an adult and actually...

This aquatic center is very well run. Plenty of lifeguards, and the desk staff is friendly even on the day that we were there, which is just a few days away from closing the season out. The grounds are kept clean. The chairs are plentiful. Lots of variety for adults and children alike. The snack shop must be emptying their inventory because there wasn’t much choice. The bathrooms are in a little bit of disrepair but considering the amount of use they get I suppose that’s normal. Plenty of parking. It seems that there’s a lot of construction around this area so watch where you’re driving...
