Satisfying Mexican Fare and Good Margaritas at Mi Mexico Restaurant

For over two decades, I have been a regular customer at Mi Mexico Restaurant. Known for its delicious margaritas and affordable prices, this restaurant has always been a go-to for me when I want a satisfying meal.

Though the wait and bar staff have changed over time, I can still say that the service at Mi Mexico is friendly and hospitable. The establishment is always clean, and I appreciate that there is no loud music blasting from the kitchen. But the real star of the show, as far as I'm concerned, is the albondigas soup.

It's hard to find a good albondigas soup in town, but thankfully, Mi Mexico excels at it. This flavorful Mexican soup is filled with meatballs, vegetables, and spices. It's easy to make a meal out of this hearty dish, especially when served with warm flour tortillas or tacos. The recipe has been passed down for decades, and it is truly a delicious and comforting experience.

Of course, no meal at Mi Mexico is complete without a margarita. The restaurant offers good quality margaritas in shakers at affordable prices, making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day.

Overall, Mi Mexico Restaurant is one of my favorite Mexican joints in town. Good service, clean surroundings, delicious food, and excellent margaritas make for a satisfying experience. Our father was leaving for Mexico the next day and we wanted to have a nice family dinner before he left so went here. We went here on a Friday night with six adults and four children- two of which are one year olds. We told the older lady working as the hostess that we would need two high chairs. They sat us within five minutes which was nice but they sat us in the "party room." There were four other tables of adult parties all drinking and having a good, loud time. We asked if there was another table on the other side we could sit at. Seeing as how we could not hear the person sitting next to us. Ten minutes after I asked the waiter he finally came back to take our order and my dad asked him again if there was another table. He's like oh yeah, I looked there's no other tables. The food came, wasn't the best, and did not make up for the noise level. Which we understood it was a Friday night and weren't blaming the people for having a good time but to sit a family with small children with a bunch of loud drunks was an inconsiderate act by the restaurant. Common sense and taking care of their guests was lost on them...

So I just ordered Mi Mexico carry out. Ordered the shrimp app and chips and cheese. They said it would be 10 minutes.. waited 20, got there and they said it was going to be another 10. I sit down and I’m waiting and the lady asked me if I wanted to pay. I said sure my tab was $17.98. I was using a gift card that had 19.19 on it.. so should be good.. She ran my card and the amount 19.19 was taken out and “the rest” was declined. I asked how was any other total other then $17.98 plugged into the machine?!? Then they proceeded to speak a bunch of Spanish. Said my card was declined even though I got the receipt taking the $19.19 out... mean while we are 40 min deep waiting for this food. So now I only have that card on me and it was good for $17.98 but she tried to tip herself!! Then after all that they didn’t even let me have the food!! So now Im out 19.19 and have no shrimp..... HORRID...
