after searching for a decent place to eat breakfast, I've found this wonderful local restaurant. right off the bat, when I walked in, the place was sooooo clean. and the breakfast was hearty and tasty! My server lady was amazing! she was quick and professional. and she filled my coffee cup even before me asking for it. we don't find services like this anymore. Well, not enough I meant. and she knew exactly what I wanted... she was like a mindreader. I"m assuming the gentleman who cooks is the owner? or other lady? Regardless, the gentleman seems to be very cool as well. he greets all the customers that walks in the door.
Clean! Hearty! Friendly Staff! Awesome Services! what more do you want?

Every Tuesday mornings, I find myself sitting at the Red Maple. This place makes me...
Read moreTruly a gem, the Red Maple is one of the most special breakfast spots I have ever been to. First and foremost, food is fantastic, the blueberry-topped pancakes were some of the best I ever had. Charlie, the chef and quite possibly owner, is simply one of the nicest guys you'll meet, and boy, this guy is on top of his game, cooking while occasionally gabbing with customers. Just watching him do it all as a one-man band is fascinating; it's amazing how he stays so calm and he looks like he could run this place in his sleep. The women who support him are super nice. Prices are great, too. If I lived closer, I'd be there at least a couple times a week, but I stopped by on my way to Edgewater from upstate New York, it was totally worth the small detour, and I can't wait to return. Thank you,...
Read morePROS: This diner had good quality food for the right price and had a great wait staff. We met the owner and he was one of the nicest restaurant owners I've ever met. They even have a counter area for people that don't want to claim a table. Which is rare for tiny diners. The tables were clean and the menus were not sticky like many diner menus are
CONS: The place looks beat up. The walls, floor, furniture, etc all looks like it was beaten upon for over 2 decades. The menus didn't have a lot of options on it either, and the parking is terrible. You have to park on the street
OVERALL: This is a cute place to eat. It's very small (so it could become crowded) and the staff is nice and the place is clean. If you don't mind the beaten up atmosphere and the bad parking, then go on down...
