Service The second we entered the building, we were immediately sat down on a table near the window. The service was very quick, as after a couple of seconds of sitting, we were served the appetizers. The people there are nice as well and work quickly. As well as all of that, they treat you as kindly as servers can really be to somebody they don’t know, so this won’t be a review about how a staff member annoyed somebody, actually, it is quite the polar opposite. If you struggle with chopsticks, you can use beginner ones tied to each with rubber bands or a fork, and they go as fast as they can, serving a couple of people a minute. This is one of those restaurants where they creepily watch you from a blind spot and wait for you to finish.
Food: After a couple of minutes, it got crowded and we were served the meat (course b if it matters), and it tasted quite good, as well as the edamame and soup that I had. It is some of the best food I have had, maybe even the best Korean barbecue I've eaten. I truly recommend getting the course B as long as you have at least 3 people to eat through it. The servings are quite large, so you probably shouldn’t bite off more than you can chew.
Steak Ratings: Kkotsal: 8.5/10. It is juicy (in a good way) and tastes quite good. Exactly what you want in a steak. I don’t have to much to say about this other than how much I love it.
Seng galbi: 7.5/10. Pretty average for a steak, it's alright. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not the best steak they have.
Teug samyeobsal: 8/10. This is actually good, though I think the Kkotsal is slightly better. It is pretty balanced, tasting exactly how it looks.
Chadolbagi: 7/10. Probably my least favorite of these steaks, it's still alright, though it's not bad, it is so thin that it's annoying, and the taste is slightly worse than the Seng galbi. It barely has any fat on it, which is a bonus for eating it, but other than that, it's just alright.
Dueng Sim 9/10. I love it. It's probably my favorite steak here, maybe even ever. It is really good, especially when you wound it and rub salt into the wound for taste. I can’t really describe the taste, I can just recommend it to you.
Atmosphere: I also like the overall feel of the place, though the location is pretty bad compared to everything else in the restaurant. Being in the middle of a bunch of other competitors, though, if you can afford it, this is the best restaurant in that general area. The design is very modern, while also being quite compact and comfortable, which, in my opinion, is how I like decor in a restaurant like this.
Cons: My only actual gripe with this restaurant is the fact that it is quite expensive, therefore, I would recommend it for holidays and celebrations over going on random occasions due to the fact that it can be around 100-130 dollars to feed a family, maybe more, maybe less, though it’s still expensive nonetheless. If I could change the price, I would, but I can’t, so you’ll just have to pay them.
Closing: This is a very good place to eat Korean barbecue and such, as I would recommend it to whoever is reading this review about So Good. If you’re stopping by, you should try So Good if you can afford it. It lives up to its name...
Read moreI took my wife here for her birthday along along the kids and her mother. We went on a weekday where they give you a free BBQ meat tray with the purchase of any 2 meats (the pork was buttery soft). We ended up ordering way too much because I had no idea they give you a plethora of small side dishes consisting of tasty little things like Kimchi, potato salad, seaweed, bean sprouts, seasoned tofu, pickled radishes, bean cake, small cold broccoli/carrots, and hot stir fried veggies. The order also came when tiny tasting salads and rice. In addition I ordered spicy cold buckwheat noodles which were delicious, 1 order of fried dumplings and 1 order of steamed egg.The tofu soup was AMAZING and a must if you go here. The Jap chae (glass vermicili noodles) I ordered with chicken was so good I ordered a second one to go for lunch the next day! We didn’t come close to finishing our food and they very nicely packed every single leftover item for us to take home. Lastly they give everyone a marshmallow on a stick to toast and enjoy for desert. They caught wind that it was my wife’s birthday and they came out with 3 scoops of ice cream with a candle in it signing happy birthday (on the house). There was not one single negative thing I can think of about this place. The kids did want juice however and they do not seem to carry any juices. You can probably bring your own just the same as the alcohol. I brought vodka and ginger beer to make a few Moscow mules for us to enjoy with dinner and they happily brought us cups of ice for that. They do give you water and hot tea throughout dinner, refilling regularly. The grill was changed out in between each different meat that was cooked. Initially we had planned on cooking it ourselves because we kind of enjoy doing so, but the waitress began doing it and we were quite busy trying all the different items that we just let her continue to do so. All in all if you like Korean food and many different flavors and textures then you’ll really like this place. I also chose this over others I reviewed because many of them are buffet style and charge a lot of money per person....so unless you eat an abnormal amount of food it’s just not worth it. The BYOB policy saves a ton of money on drinks...usually drinks are around 10 bucks a pop where as I can bring my own for closer to a 1-2 dollar cost per drink. The bill came out to 159.84 for 3 adults and 2 children to eat delicious high quality food until we were stuffed and still go home with 4 containers plus almost a full soup (we ordered two tofu soups and combined the leftovers). Atmosphere was peaceful, staff super friendly and the place was spotless clean ! Great experience and So glad I made the right choice picking this place for my ...
Read moreGreat decor with excellent food! Ive passed by this place plenty of times but since I already have a fave kbbq spot, I’ve only tried it because of a friends recommendation and must I say how glad I am that I did?! Came here on Saturday for the first time and had to come back for more the very next day lol they cook the meat in wood/charcoal so flavor of the meat is extremely good. if I’m not mistaken, I think the restaurant is ran by the owners themselves who btw were so friendly and was attentive and provided exceptional customer service.
A bit of a heads up, if you do come in the evenings I do suggest making a reservation. When I came the first time it was at 1pm on Saturday and there was only one other occupied table so I was sat down straight away. However, on Sunday I came in the evening and it was rather full. I did get lucky and managed to take the last available table when I got in so I didn’t have to wait but the people that came in after did. So I would def suggest for later times, make a reservation.
Update: couldn’t stay away from this place for too long. Came back again after 2days and they were so very kind to give us complimentary marshmallows to toast at the end of our dinner. (Adding the photo) honestly, nothing beats amazing food and great customer service...now to see how long I can stay away from this gem...
