Hwe Sarang Sushi — Restaurant in Closter

Worst experience. Walked in at around 6:00 pm on a Thursday, the restaurant was empty but the hostess told me I couldn’t sit because they were too busy with take out orders??!! Finally the chef said it was ok. I asked her if she would heat up my sake she said “we don’t do that here “ ?! The food was mediocre to bad. The sashimi pieces were tiny, the sea urchin was disgusting (never had such bad quality) and the salmon skin hand roll was all rice even though I told her very little rice. The sea weed was so chewy I had to spit it out on both the sea urchin and hand roll. NEVER coming back...

I absolutely will never ever spend my hard earned money at this establishment ever again. Today my co-workers and I decided to have sushi for lunch and ordered from this place. Not only was the customer service horrible but the sushi we ordered was absolutely DISTUGUSTING to the point that I threw up. The sushi was not fresh and it was so unappetizing. The fish was fresh. The seaweed salad and miso were good. However, the service is terrible.
