Closter Plaza — Local services in Closter

What an improvement over the old place that was here before. They did a beautiful job of revamping it without tearing it down. Whole Foods is a great addition to the area but not as nice as the once at Bergen town center which has wine and beer. This one in Closter does not have a liquor license and the overall selection is not as good. The Target here replaces the Kmart that used to be here and this Target is almost a mini version. The old Kmart was not as nice physically but I have to say that it was bigger, always had a great selection and it carried a great selection of craftsman tools and outdoor furniture during the warm months so I kind of miss that place. But instead we now have the target and the homegoods. We go to bare burger a lot which we love. Brand new and fabulous! It's a pleasure to walk around and window shop this beautiful newly redeveloped shopping and dining complex. The stores are well placed and layed out in nice, neat clusters allowing you to see other stores around you and not monotonously, boringly grouped in a single row. And the complex is well lit, and had not only garbage receptacles but recycling receptacles paired with them throughout. Great selection of stores and restaurants currently, with a couple of empty storefronts promising more to come. It was so long in need of a major reboot, but if Closter and the neighboring towns had to wait this long, at least it was WELL...
