Take this with a grain of salt since when we entered the restaurant, we didnât realize it had already closed at 7:30, the door was still open, and there were two people sitting at the bar and one person at a table, which made it seem like the place was still operating. It was our first time entering this place, we didnât know how this place works. Cashier tried helping us but the person behind him was impatient (which could come off as rude) telling us that the kitchen is already closed. My mom had questions on how this place works since she saw online that you can buy the meats per pound but the impatient lady then asked us what meat. We didnât even know how to order so my mom asked her âwhat options do you have?â There was only the asada left so we bought it. Once we got our asada, my mom thought she could ask for clarifications on how to order the raw meat, like if we did choose it the raw meat does that mean the kitchen cooks it for us? We did not know that they have plates of cooked meat that we could order and the lady emphasized that kitchen is closed. We know that then and we were not trying to order through her, I had to clarify that we were just asking so that the next time we go back we would know how to order from this place. I understand that they are already closed and they are cleaning the restaurant and it looks like the employees want to go home so even with us asking very basic questions on how the ordering works, the lady responded in a very flippant and dismissive manner. Rather than politely informing us of the closing time or offering a brief explanation, her tone came off as unnecessarily curt and unwelcoming. We understand that it was past operating hours, and we would have gladly left if weâd been told kindly. However, the attitude we encountered left a negative impression of a place we were excited to try and potentially recommend to others. Weâd still love to return at a proper time, but we also hope that future guests, especially first time ones, are met with a bit more courtesy, and that if it wasnât a good time to answer our questions, please kindly let us know so we could go. The asada is good though but we ate it without feeling too...
Read moreTheyâre ok. Not the best. Good enough to only satisfy a âtacoâ craving. Their adobada meat is extremely salty! I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking it was probably a bad batch and ate it anyway. However, we went back and my son ordered the super nachos with adobada meat and again- THE SALT! Not recommended for folks with hypertension (or anyone really unless you love salt) Their service is ok. Definitely not friendly, no smiles, when you ask a question they answer with an attitude not understanding that the acrylic barrier and the masks prevent us from understanding what we say most of the time. I asked about the toppings they put on the nachos and the lady helping me didnât even know she had to ask which is fine especially if youâre new but when she came back and I requested for one of those toppings to not be added even after I repeated myself twice and it was added anyway. They have what they call a âcarnicerĂaâ (butcher shop) but what they have is very limited. I tried their pre-seasoned azada meat to make tacos at home and although I could tolerate the taste it was too spicy for my kids. People that donât like hot spices would not be a fan. It was also a salty! It would be nice if the owner tasted the meats they sell so that they know they over salt. Their tacos are $2.25 (as of April 2021). Their best ok taco is the barbacoa. Meat seems appropriately seasoned. The azada meat is not seasoned well you can only taste salt too. Overall theyâre ok (giving them benefit of the doubt that theyâll do better) and this is coming from a true Mexican that believes Americanized âMexicanâ food...
Read moreI ordered online, two wet burritos. On their site it said to select 1-4 meats and so we selected two for each burrito. My assumption was it was an option such as Chipotle where you can do half and half etc. Well I get there to pick up my order at the pick up time and they haven't even started it because they said they tried calling me. I was at work so I checked my phone and called back 2x, this was 4min after the missed call. No one answered. They informed me they couldn't make the burrito without an upcharge of $2/per burrito. I said ok just do one meat because I already paid online, didn't feel like paying a separate fee. I waited and waited, everyone who ordered after me received their food and orders. So it really didn't matter to them that I had ordered 30 min prior, I had to wait another 30 min to get my order. Finally, it was ready, I got back to work and opened the bag. I was shocked that this their version of a wet burrito. It was literally a burrito with like a pool of consomé. Tf? It was salty as hell too. I was hungry so of course I ate most of it but I wish I could have my calories and $$ back. Also their site states it comes with guac and that turned out to be a lie because I didn't get a drop of guac sauce in either burrito. Also what kind of restaurant uses lettuce in a burrito that's going to be served hot like that. It just gets soggy and wilted. The quality of this place has gone down since they moved locations. Don't order a wet burrito unless you want a caldo de burrito salado con lechuga aguada....
