I was a bar manager at a Michelin (two star) restaurant,I worked at one of two Mobil's five star restaurants in all of Canada. Also worked at Alinea and many many others. I may be picky but i love all food. 1.) Their sausage sub Is real.whole sausages not shredded pizzatopping sausage I ordered one (the 15th total) and it was so overdone. Knowing what I know an how manyni ordered I knew a mistake happened somewhere.I was worried to complain because the staff and food are as good as you're gonna get at this price point. Before I could speak he asked (is this about the sausage sub last week) I was like yea.. Someone ordered a well done like a block away at the same time. So I got the well done one and other guy was actually mad. They immediately brought me a replacement (no matter how many times I said my 50% tips,3x a week business and the pride of.shopping at a family owned place in Vermont is payment enough, as long as I don't get a diarrhea and surstromming sub by accident. Zachary's next to Colchester drive in. You can even get some cheap PERFECT drive in dogs and...
Read moreIve been ordering a lot from here, their spinach and artichoke dip is good (I prefer it with chips instead of the bread) and they're the only pizza place in the area with REAL sausage on their sausage subs, not the shredded pizza topping sausage some other places use. Taco pizza was good, but their apps and subs are remarkable so I still have a lotof menu to cover. These guys are great for picky eaters too, I was ordering salads for a friend and they loved them. Staff is always extremely friendly. I worked in restaurants for years and you can tell, by some small details like the spinach dip being homemade (takes labor) and other things I noticed that are indicative of someone taking their time making things. I would give 11 stars if I could. For what it is, a community owned pizza place, they really knock it out of the park. Prices are very reasonable .. I got a specialty pizza, large sub and spinach dip for about 30$. Please keep it up...
Read moreGood pizza. Much better than the new york pizza place up the road, and better prices too.
Some meats could be higher quality, as some are a little heartburn prone. Bacon and chicken toppings were great. Pizza has plenty of toppings and a reasonably small crust. Bottom is firm enough to eat without flopping over or needing to fold.
As 2 other reviewers have noted: Be careful when paying for takeout: I paid by phone with Google wallet. I selected no tip and the first time the girl running register said it didn't go through. So I tapped again and noticed the transaction amount on my phone when I got home: there was a 15% tip added! I called and the same girl answered and said the system automatically adds a tip. Never heard of, or experienced, that with any payment system before. Be careful and take a reciept when paying for takeout. Otherwise a great place for pizza.
Plenty of seating...
