I recently visited the McDonald's in Colfax, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely perfect—hot, fresh, and prepared exactly how it should be. As someone who lives in Sacramento, I can confidently say that this McDonald's is leagues ahead in terms of quality. None of the Sacramento locations come close to the level of care and attention I experienced here.
Despite the Colfax location being quite busy when I arrived, the wait time was impressively short. The staff were efficient, friendly, and seemed genuinely organized—a stark contrast to some of the Sacramento stores where service can be inconsistent and slow.
What stood out even more was the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. From the dining area to the restrooms, everything was spotless, which is unfortunately not something I can say for many McDonald's in Sacramento. The entire environment felt welcoming and well-maintained.
But the star of the visit was the food itself. Every item I ordered was prepared with care—the fries were crispy and golden, the burgers were perfectly assembled, and even the drink station was stocked and clean. You can tell this store takes pride in delivering a high-quality experience.
If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend making a stop at the Colfax McDonald's. It’s worth the drive if you’re looking for fast food done right. Sacramento locations could really learn a thing or two...
Read moreMcDonald's coffee is exactly that "McDonald's Coffee". Went there after going to get a grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich that was EXCELLENT!!!. We exited 80 West looking for a Subway but Jarred and his little ones could not be found so we opted for Buzz Through Joe's. The grilled pork sandwich was full size and had plenty of pork not to mention cilantro, sweet carrots and jalapenos. The jalapeno peppers had some heat but we're not way out on the scoval scale. If you don't like a little bit of heat ask them to take them off. The sandwiches were a little bit pricey but based on "Bidenomics" you got what you paid for. Also it was a drive through so in and out and we were done. Note to driver, take a moment and park so you can wolf down this exploration of hot and cold, sweet and salty magic and you are not in the middle of a lane change slamming on the brakes because pork and mayo juice is dripping down your wrist as you have to emergency brake because the nut job in front of you decided to merge into your lane with NASCAR level tolerances. All and all I was satisfied but not put into a Thanksgiving day food coma that would inhibit...
Read moreEveryone was fine until the girl handed me my food. She said nothing and i said thank you and took my food, she just walked away with a scowl on her face. This has happened more than once here, its insanely rude. I am always polite and i dont complain when it takes them a while, so i really dont deserve the attitude. Also the mcdoubles were so old the bun had soaked up all the condiments, and it was mushy and gross, and barely warm. The burgers were put together sloppily, and sitting sideways and upside down in the bag. It seemed almost intentionally bad. Im sorry if other customers are rude and demanding, but that is clearly not my fault, so dont take it out on me. Fast food is so expensive these days, its practically tripled in price over the last few years, so it is really annoying when the quality is sub standard. You guys get paid 20 dollars an hour (which is part of why the prices are so high) when gas station employees and retail store employees still get only 16 an hour. So this kind of behavior is even more unacceptable now...
