Compared with other Northgate bars, O'Bannon's is quiet and offers a fantastic beer selection. You can still get liquor drinks here, but this Irish pub is really just known for its beer. Prices are fair, and if you happen to like the beers they're trying to clear out, then the prices are even better. Bigger bathrooms than most NG bars, cleaner overall than most, and the staff is more knowledgeable (beer-wise) than most. I highly recommend this bar if you're trying to chill while you drink. Don't come here if you wanna be loud and/or belligerent - there are PLENTY of other bars which cater to that...

In case you can't tell by the name, this is an Irish pub style establishment. They specialize in craft beer and have a large selection. I don't like craft beer, but the bartenders always throw mixed drinks together for me, and they suffice. This bar is in an area frequented by college students, so it may not appeal to you if you're older (like me). But it's pretty cozy and the staff is always real friendly when I go there.
