The manager demanded they don’t take reservations but took my mothers call a 10 too came in after my friends mom came for a table. They dismissed my mom’s friend who wanted to decorate the table a bit & told her that they are regulars here all the time & sat them immediately. We were awkward sat at a table behind a booth that was on the side of it. We began singing happy bday & my friend shot off a small confetti popper during it. She popper did NOT go anywhere other than on the table & unfortunately some got in rice & beans that was being carried to the table. We didn’t realize what had happened until after we were done singing happy birthday & the manger immediately came over demanding we pay for the rice & beans & do we realize we ruined the plate that was coming out. We apologized & said we would pay for the rice & beans for the table.. the manger gave us an extremely rude face & said.. “you better!”. I had my 3 year old with me along with 2 under age teens. We had just sat down & gotten our teas & waters before we were rudely rushed off. We ended up paying 51 bucks just to sit & have my sister be humiliated for her bday dinner! They favored regulars over new paying customers! We ended up at El Porton which is my daughter LOVES that they have the little robots as well. This owner feels entitled to treat anyone how we wants if he hasn’t seen you there before. I am extremely courteous at restaurants & tip well however we got HORRIBLE service the one time we decided to try somewhere new!
UPDATE. Sir….. we only had gotten waters, teas & Dr Pepper. You ruined my sister’s birthday. Rice & beans can be replaced however humiliating an under age girl on her bday over a small popper…...
Read moreThis was very disappointing experience that could have been resolved some basic communication from the restaurant management. I received the lunch menu on arriving and asked if they had shrimp tacos, they said they did on the dinner menu and I ordered it without seeing in on the menu. It comes and was heavily marinated with jalapenos, I asked if there was a way to get it without but they said it all comes as a mix (then then just gets quickly reheated). Don't normally mind the extra spice but this was personally inedible for a 40 year old man with plenty of spicy experience. Asked if there was a way to "swap out" the tacos for a cheap alternative and clarified not to pay extra just get something inexpensive I could eat. The waiter brings me some two cheap street tacos for $6.50 which was fine with me and then it shows up on my bill. I ask about our conversation, he asks the manager and she stops by to take the bill and my card. She then charges me for the full amount without a word to me about it. I left upset but without making a scene because it just wasn't worth the $6. I won't be back so I hope that was worth it to...
Read moreThe server did not get one order correct. I'm sure he just didn't understand, which it was ordered plainly. We just didn't bother saying anything and kept it. When paying the bill I looked for the health score. It was very hard to find because there was so much crowding it. To my dismay it was a 77. I was shocked. They have even been featured in the Collierville magazine for goodness sake. I came home and looked them up on the TN Health Department Restaurant Score and sure enough the last reading was a 77 on the official TN website!! That was in May 2025. I'm very surprised they have not returned to recheck them. However, we will find another mexican restaurant. So disappointing.
The owner replied to me look again 98. Well it maybe now but it wasn't when we were there. Also looked it up on WREG Score Card and TN Health Department and it WAS 77. I'm very thankful your restaurant has been able to fix all the many concerning...
