Let me tell ya a story. A hungry lil guy (me) decides to go out to eat. He has a craving for a smoothie a vegetarian wrap. What do you know he finds clean eatz. Walking in he gets the feeling that this restaurant is new and is concerned by the lack of customers. A short walk to the counter later he meets the cashier. "Are you wearing cologne?" She asks. "Um, I don't think so..." the lil guy responds. After that strange interaction he orders what he's been waiting for all day. Moments later the register seems to be having trouble. A large man with tattoos walks over in a clean eatz uniform. He attempts to fix the machine so he take lil guys hard earned money. This takes a little while. But in the end lil guy pays for his vegetarian wrap with mac and cheese on the side and his strawberry banana smoothie. He walks over to a tall chair, clambers up and sits. A short while later he receives his smoothie without his food. Assuming they are still preparing the food he goes to sit once again. After other customers come in and receive their food a couple of times, lil guy becomes concerned. "Perhaps they've forgotten me..." he ponders. He gets up to stand by the counter to become more visible to the large man who had helped him before. The large tattooed man notices this and acknowledges lil guy. "It'll be right out, I just checked on it." He claims. But little guy remains, fearing the worst. The large man realizes that it was in fact not going to be right out, for it wasn't even being prepared. He grew guilty knowing he had lied to lil guy. To resolve his guilt he turns to little guy to inform him they are in fact NOW working on the meal. lil guy is content with this news so he returns to his chair. After a another wait, a middle aged woman approached with a brown bag in hand. Lil guy takes said bag and asks "this is the veggie wrap and mac n cheese?" Hoping to be leaving soon. "Yes! I just checked." She responds with half confidence. The large man then says that lil guy will get a discount the next time he comes in for his troubles. Satisfied, lil guy waved goodbye and drove home. When he arrived he discovered that he had not only received the wrong wrap but no mac and cheese either. Frustrated he checks his receipt to find that he indeed paid for a veggie wrap and a mac and cheese. After promptly throwing away both the drink and food lil guy wrote this review to sway others from making the mistake he made, going to clean eatz. Thanks...
Read moreAs an aging high performance athlete, I have to be very selective about how I fuel my body. I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to find healthy high protein meals to get me through my training sessions while visiting Colorado Springs but I was fortunate to have stumbled upon Clean Eats.
They close early, about 3pm, but that didn’t stop the friendly and profession staff from making my food to go at 2:45pm when I ran through the door. I ordered “the Arnold” it was healthy and delicious.
I also picked up some energy bites for dessert which I began eating and couldn’t put down until I finished the entire container.
They also have a wide variety of ready to go meals which I picked up and tossed in the freezer for later fueling. After the day was done I popped the container in the oven for a few minutes and enjoyed another healthy and delicious meal.
Important to know that healthy doesn’t always mean expensive. Everything was reasonably priced....

Who says eating healthy means you have to pay more for food that isn't delicious. On this visit, we had a custom bowl; shredded beef, edamme, broccoli with Thai peanut sauce, which was fabulous and portioned to fill you up. I tried the new Burnt-ends Turkey Cuban that featured flat bread, turkey, cheese, and BBQ sauce over the mustard in a standard Cuban. It was just as wonderful as the beef bowl. For the sides, we got sweet potato fries and apples with peanut butter dip.
The staff is always quick and friendly. They are dedicated to helping you meet your health goals with great food. Check out their extensive selection of take home ready to go meals, also at very reasonable prices.
