When I went in today, the younger girl at the register, who had glasses and bangs, kept biting her nails and fiddling with calluses while waiting for me to give her my order. I was immediately grossed out, but there were two other people in the kitchen behind her, so I assumed (and hoped) that one of them would be making my drink. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Right after my payment went through, she went to grab a blender and started making my order.
I waved her back over and asked if she could wash her hands, explaining that it was because she had just had her fingers in her mouth while waiting for my order. Kindly, she obliged without any fuss and went to wash her hands (for all of 10 seconds). I was already uneasy about drinking anything she handed back to me because of that.
I'm not very confrontational, and I often have to push myself past my own nerves to stand up for myself. So, when I got the smoothie, I asked her to confirm that I ordered a smoothie, not a juice, because the consistency seemed off. I order smoothies from this place frequently and have never received one in such a liquid state.
She confirmed that she made me a smoothie. Gathering my courage again to advocate for myself, I asked her if she could either remake it or add ice and reblend it. She said she could add more yogurt and took it back. At that point, I didnāt want it anymore, but I felt bad for having already asked so much from her. I could feel the looks from the other two employees in the kitchen.
When she brought it back, I left and threw it away. It was a waste of $8, but that's on me for not asking for a refund. I just know better than to go back. Sadly, today will be my last visit to this Keva Juice location. Unfortunately, it is the closest one to my home, but I will be making my own smoothies or going to Jamba Juice from now on. Itās a shame because I think Keva makes the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time at this location. My son who is 14 went inside to pick up our order because I'm going through medical issues. He told the employee he had an employee pick up, she got the name wrong and thought he was there to pick up a door dash order. Again, he is 14, why would he "door dash"...I reached out to the location to complain and they treated as if I didn't understand, no empathy, a fake apology and tried to apologize that I didn't understand their side... I'm the customer, it took 15 minutes longer to get my pick up order from what they stated would be ready. We only tried Keva because it was the closest location, we are Jamba Juice for life, even Smoothie King is quick and efficient, we won't go to Keva anymore because of the misunderstanding of the pick up name, the employee skipped the order that was supposed to be ready 15 minutes sooner and management makes you feel like you aren't an important customer, stay away from Keva, go to Jamba Juice.
Here is the response from the owner making me feel like more of an idiot that he thought I didn't understand him,
"I sorry if you can't understand why there was confusion. I never said he was delivering both orders were customer pick ups. 1 from door dash, yours thru our register. Nowhere did I say delivery.
Eric"
How is this an apology? He made me feel like I was not being heard and put it back on him to not have been understood. It's not a real apology. All I wanted was to express my concerns and he got very defensive instead of empathizing and truly apologizing. He just called me out on his response to me on here, who does that? That's not customer service. Just empathize and apologize, react/respond and see how it can be made right next time and thank me as the costumer instead of making me feel more stupid.
Horrible...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy girlfriend and I waited for at least 30 minutes since the girl making the smoothies was the only employee there and she was swamped with a line of customers going out the door. Several people in line behind me obviously tired of waiting and left. I'm sure they went to another juice shop and I'm sure this us an everyday occurrence since this is the second time I've seen it happen here (I didn't learn the first time- DOH!)
The smoothie I received was almost 10 bucks and tasted like mostly ice with a little flavor. Girlfriend said the same thing, even though her smoothie was comletely different. Total ripoff.
I've been to other keva juice shops and the smoothies were MUCH better. I suspect the owner of this one must be very greedy and instructing their employee to skimp on ingredients and use more blended up ice for filler. We're not stupid, we CAN taste the difference.
I don't know that they pay the girl that works there. I hope alot. But it doesn't make sense to have such a busy establishment and only 1 employee that is completely covered up, while customers leave to spend money elsewhere. I dont blame her, she was doing a great job, fast with no wasted movement in my opinion. Greed greed greed. I won't be returning, since I dont support this philosophy and I hope you...
