Happy Hour Donuts — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

We try to go to a local donut shop on every vacation and have done so for the past 6 years. This may have been the best yet!

What a great small business donut shop! We walked in and my wife immediately said "oh, these are bougie donuts!" and the 2 owners welcomed us! The owners were engaging and they explained their concept and options. They were super nice and very helpful as we mulled our decisions and then ate in the store. Every customer who came in was greeted and had a similar experience with engaging conversation.

The shop is very nice and has a few tables and chairs if you want to eat there. Their display case shows their offerings for the day and they get them for you from the racks behind them. They had 12 specialty donuts, glazed donuts and glazed donut holes, and cinnamon rolls. They also offer coffee, but we did not get any.

We picked out the french toast, ice cream sundae, coffee cake, chocolate, and a glazed. They are a little pricier than a typical donut place, but they are also a higher quality and amount of ingredients than typical. Everyone of the donuts was good and we really wished we would have gotten more to try. Our favorites were the coffee cake, french toast, and glazed, but as I said all of them were great. If I could go back I would have for sure tried the cookies and cream and the lemon pound cake which did have some alcohol in it (3 were clearly marked with this). Such great flavors and great service is what makes a small shop like this so amazing. ...

We absolutely adore this place not only are the donuts, gourmet and unlike anything else we’ve ever tasted, but the couple who runs this small business pours, their heart and soul into every bite…. They do this by themselves with zero help. They wake up at midnight so they can open nice and early to accommodate all of the patrons who look forward to these awesome donuts & lattes (also donut flights and special theme days) it’s such a blast!

Not only do people look forward to the donuts, but they look forward to catching up with some of the most amazing people in Colorado Springs Ryan & Gabby

They are genuine, kind, and caring & inspiring.

I’m not even a “donut person” and I absolutely love these gourmet donuts, but I love the people who make them even more

I went to Happy Hour Donuts on a Sunday about an hour after opening. We'd seen them on TikTok, so I got one of each donut and the cinnamon roll. We haven't made it through trying all of them yet, but I can say these are the best donuts we've tried in Colorado. Not disregarding the flavors at all, because they are great, but the base donut itself is just awesome! It's thick, but not cakey. Just a really great fluffy donut. I think if you have a great base to start, adding toppings only makes things better. So far, my favorite one is the coffee cake donut. Chefs kiss! The blueberry muffin donut is a close second.

The atmosphere is great. It's a cheery place and decorated really cute. The owners/chefs are super kind and enthusiastic about what they do. They were happy to help and seemed genuinely grateful for the business. That's really the kind of place you want to give your money to. I spent about $52 for I think 14 donuts and a cinnamon roll.
