UPDATE: After I posted my initial review, I was immediately contacted by the owner of this location. He apologized for my experience in his store, and assured me he would look into the issue, speak with his staff, and correct the issue. I waited about three weeks, and then on my son's request, I returned to this Jersey Mike's location. I ordered the usual sandwiches we normally get, and the staff immediately made the order without any objections. There is only one sandwich in my order that has substitutions, and that's because my son is unable to eat one item due to a food allergy. The staff were very pleasant and made the order without any hesitation. I was anticipating an objection to my order, but was pleasantly surprised at the positive response I got from the staff. It was such a refreshing experience. Since then, I've returned to this Jersey Mike's two more times and the experience has been pleasant and positive. This owner really listened to what I had to say and took measures to correct an issue. Kudos to him and his staff for great customer service!!! Once again, Jersey Mike's is my family's favorite place to eat and we will continue to purchase from this store. A big "Thank You" to this owner and his staff!!!
My family has been going to Jersey Mike's for over ten years. It's our favorite place to go if we eat out, and we eat there at least once a week. My son has always ordered the #13 Italian sandwich. He cannot eat salami, so we've always asked to have the salami substituted with double pepperoni instead, and the staff has accommodated our request. That is, until this week. I made two visits to this location this week and asked for this sandwich with the pepperoni substitution. I was told it was corporate policy not to make any substitutions and I would have to pay an upcharge for the extra pepperoni. I explained we've ordered this sandwich for many years with the salami/pepperoni substitution, including just three days ago at this particular location. Two of the staff (a young man and a young girl) were very curt and stated there were no exceptions. I paid the upcharge for the additional pepperoni, but had to ask that the salami that they had withheld from the order (and was already paid for) be included as a side order to take home. They were just going to keep it. I was told they couldn't make substitutions to orders becase it slowed the staff down when they had to change the sandwich orders. One staff told me he was very sorry about the order and he would attempt to speak with management at a later time to see if anything could be done. Today I visited the store again, and made the request again for an Italian sandwich with the substitution. I told the young man who took my order that if he couldn't do it, I understood, but I still wanted the sandwich made the way I ordered it. He said he would have to charge an upcharge for the special order. The young girl who had been present before, then came over and stated they couldn't make substitutions because the meats were different prices and by substituting, it would cut into the store's profit margins and cause a loss for the store. I told her I would be calling the corporate office to talk about this change in policy, and she retorted she would also call the corporate office to tell them that I would be calling them. I won't be going back to Jersey Mike's because of this change and the way it was handled by these staff members. The tiny profit margin they might lose (if there even is a difference in cost) over the substitution of the salami and pepperoni for one sandwich, is minute compared to the cost of the four large sandwiches that would have been purchased weekly at this store. What ever happened to keeping the customer happy so they will continue to support your...
Read moreI’ve been a regular customer at Jersey Mike’s, ordering online through their app about once a week. I always get the Club Sub with pickles on it, and it’s frustrating how often my order is messed up. Nine out of ten times, they forget to include the oil and vinegar on the side as requested. This results in the bread getting soggy and inedible by the time I eat it later at work. When they do remember to put it on the side, it’s often not properly wrapped in cling wrap, causing it to spill all over the bag, my drink, and even leak through the bag into my truck—making a mess everywhere.
On top of that, there was barely any meat on my sandwich this time, which is a big reason why I come to Jersey Mike’s—to enjoy the substantial amount of meat. Normally, their subs are loaded with delicious, generous portions of high-quality meat, but this time, it felt like they were just cutting corners.
This recurring issue points to poor management and lack of proper protocols. It’s evident that there isn’t enough supervision over the staff or a standard process in place to prevent these mistakes. I’ve only received my order correctly once—without the oil and vinegar on the sandwich, but with it neatly wrapped on the side. At this point, I’m very disappointed because I genuinely enjoy the food at Jersey Mike’s, but I’ll likely start going to...
Read moreSecond time coming to this location. First time, cook was backed up an the guy doing register ignored me for 10mins. After the female manager came from the back she told him to assist an he put loads of toppings. Not sure if it was properly trained or just can't handle restaurant work. Second time. I noticed their hours were put on the inside of the door not outside, thought that was interesting. Came in no one was in this time waited 5mins then the team came in the front an one from the bathroom. Bread wasnt ready or completely made. Idt this location is up to par with their team (even tho they are nice). Just professional opinion. Also personal opinion they don't pay their managers enough. Think they under pay all their staff an if it was above poverty level [$27+hr for manager an 20hr+, doesnt matter its just a samdwhich shop or coffee. No one can survive off $20 or less] pay maybe they would make more effort an go above an beyond. You do get what you pay for. Food is great period even if you don't get what...
