Visiting from Kansas City, MO, and soooo thankful to have stumbled upon this truly lovely, cozy little spot. Clean and well decorated relaxing atmosphere, wonderful service, and food was truly top notch! Sushi was fresh and beautifully presented, and teriyaki chicken bento was on point in both taste & presentation. Unfortunately, I spilled my iced tea all over the place shortly before our main meal was served. Our server as well as a gentleman staff member (seemed perhaps the owner or manager...?) both came over to help clean up as well as offer comfort and genuine kindness about the incident as I felt pretty bad about it all. They were both so caring and kind... I even had to step outside for a moment not too long after the incident to gather myself a bit (hard day, Lol), and the gentleman asked my husband if I was okay. Folks like these remind one that there's still good in this world. May God bless these people! Thank you Jun restaurant for providing a lovely, comforting dining experience for me and my husband--please keep on shining bright. We look forward to returning on future Colorado visits and will recommend others your way as we can. God bless.

I know their specialty is food however I couldn't help but notice while waiting for my takeout how unclean the foyer is. The tree besides the front door has never been pruned and caked with dust. The foyer carpet is absolutely filthy and did not inspire confidence of what the kitchen may look like. I can't speak to the dining experience as my first ever visit was takeout sushi (spicy salmon roll and miso soup). My sushi was good. I would say average for the Springs. I would be willing to try more. I know restaurant owners get into routine and the day to day but they should never take for granted first impressions of a new customer and the cleanliness of the foyer was not good at all and this is where guests first meet your business. The host was friendly. Overall my food experience was ok but I was definitely put off by the foyer. From the front desk, I could see the main dining area was clean. Again, my review is only based on my first takeout experience.

The food and atmosphere here is absolutely incredible. We sat in the elevated sunken tables and had a plethora of sushi, among other dishes. The sashimi and nigiri is fresh and delicious. The specialty rolls are unique and tasty. Growing up near the coast, I have always been skeptical of all sushi in Colorado. It is very hard to find high quality, delicious sushi. Jun Japanese restaurant hits the mark! The owner was kind and incredibly courteous — a fantastic host. His nature impresses itself into the staff who are friendly and accommodating.

Very awkward dinner experience. As a party of 2 (with a reservation for hibachi), we were the first ones in the restaurant at 5 pm (really, we were actually the first guests). We were sat at our reserved spot and then ignored by the staff until 5:20. It seems to us that the staff were waiting on the rest of the table (6 other spots were reserved) to arrive. However, they were a separate party from us, which makes sense to wait for the hibachi chef, but not for drinks/apps/sushi.

I had to flag down the hostess to order drinks and appetizers. After we got our drinks our server took our hibachi order and the manager (I believe) asked us if we wanted to switch to the other side of the table, which was cramped and in a corner. We moved because it was obvious they were opening up the reserved seats for other people.

The hibachi chef showed up and was visibly angry at the situation (of having to cook for 2 people, maybe, or even at a modified combo meal, I'm not too sure). Our appetizer and sushi rolls showed up as the chef plated our fried rice.

The staff and the chef were nice and accommodating after this and did give us a birthday fruit plate/sang happy birthday, though.

Our server left us alone for an hour after that. We sat there for at least 20 minutes after we asked for the check. It had significantly cleared out as well. We sat there for so long after finishing our meal and the birthday fruit plate that a party of 4 was sat. They ordered and were served drinks, appetizers, and sushi. They ordered their hibachi and the chef started their meal. When our server finally took our payment, the chef was about halfway through cooking the other party's meal.

For getting there right at 5pm and being the first in the door and sat, we didn't leave until 7 pm. The situation was beyond awkward, and it seems like they are super understaffed.

The food itself was okay, but not great enough for the price. It was way too expensive for what we got (the veggies were only zucchini, onions, and mushrooms, and they gave a big heap of bamboo sprouts to make up for what is usually a veggie medely at other hibachi restaurants).

I asked to modify their filet and lobster combo to filet and calamari, which they agreed to. However, it was a tiny amount of calamari. I'm used to two full portions for the protein for a combo meal.

The sushi was way overpriced as well, even on happy hour. It doesn't match any of the other sushi restaurants in the area and certainly doesn't match any other hibachi place I've been to.

Not a huge deal, but hibachi restaurants usually have a bit of a show when cooking the food in front of the customers. This restaurant does not do that at all. Each table had a chef that just cooked the food. That was it. I'm definitely used to a little show, which is a part of the experience and why my party went to a hibachi restaurant. It was a letdown, considering we went for a birthday celebration and a letdown based on the cost of a hibachi meal.

Overall, it's not great. It was food, and it was edible, but we...

We had the worst experience that I’ve ever had at a restaurant. This was my third time coming to the restaurant but my 2nd time eating here. The first time my daughter and I went in and stood at the front waiting to be seated, We waited twenty minutes with staff coming to the from and just ignoring us, at that point we just left and went to another sushi restaurant. The second time was a pretty good experience but that could have been because there was just us and two other people.

Last night though was the worst and it ruined my daughter’s birthday. She had been so excited to go eat hibachi there or even just eat there for her birthday. When we got there they said hibachi was full so we couldn’t eat there at all but we could have a seat in the regular area. We were fine with that and decided we could just order a hibachi plate. I regret that we didn’t leave after we set because the waitress already seemed stressed and it wasn’t even that packed at the time. We decided to stay and order our food, the sushi came out pretty fast and it was delicious. My daughter and I ordered a hibachi plate to share and that took forever. We finished our sushi and still waited 20 minutes for our food and that’s when it got even worse. When they brought the food they only brought mine and my daughter’s plate and we had to then wait on the rice (they didn’t bring with our plate) It took them 10 minutes to get us the rice and still my husband didn’t have his food. We didn’t want to eat without him so our food was sitting there getting colder. It took another 20 minutes for my husband to get his food. Also our waitress never came to us after she took out ordered, we didn’t get any refills, no silverware and couldn’t ask for any because our waitress was no where to be found. When we finally ate we had to eat with our hands because we didn’t have silverware and like I said, no waitress. The food was not good at all. Literally no flavor, it was so bland like there was zero seasoning not even salt or pepper. After we were done eating we waited for our waitress so get could get the check and get the hell out of there but realized she didn’t come to us the entire time so we knew she wouldn’t be back to give us the check. While we waited we just so happen to hear the couple next to us mention the husband didn’t get his food at all and the other table next to us mentioned how they couldn’t eat because they need silverware as well and the waitress wasn’t coming to their table either. We finally gave up after waiting another 20 from eating and went up front to pay. I love the sushi here but decided we’ll never go back, we’ll find another place. My poor daughter was sad because she was so excited to go here to celebrate get...

4 months ago out celebrating my bff's 21st bday dinner, I felt like I was SHRIMPED on my shrimp dinner. Celebrating out of town so I was on a budget and I almost got the cheapest dinner, but thought well I'm at a Japanese restaurant, they will have the best shrimp so it will be worth it! Wrong! While yes it tasted great... Only half my plate had food on it (including the side of rice which I even was shorted on) the rest of my 8 friends had a full plate, and two that were sitting close to me got the cheapest meal with so much more food than I! & It looked so good! ... So at this point I'm kicking myself! I didn't understand why a friend got the same shimp meal as me but as a fuller version and mine looked kid sized! yes he's a bigger fella but we ordered the same thing? I was so hungry so I scarfed down my food fast, way before anyone else. Oh and mine took forever to get to me too! The cook was nice to an extent, he was good at chatting with our group but I didnt chat much myself. I couldn't help but sit there thinking to myself I overpaid to eat less because for whatever reason I was given less.! I wanted to say something but didn't want to sound rude/selfish. So I sat as everyone was still eating and the cook laughed at how fast I ate and said must of been starving and I should of said I am bc I was!!! So i was really feeling down how I paid extra for a meal that I thought I would spoil myself with since don't eat shrimp often! I should have just trusted my guy & went cheap! Would if saved money & trouble on my stomach! I was only happy my bff had a great time, that is until on our way out the manager said something to us about not leaving a tip?? I left 3 dollars on the table, I know it's not much but I didn't have much budget left after "splurging" & still tipped after being unhappy about the way they served me.. Also I know at least 3 couples tipped something.. We all (4 couples and 1 single, 9 of us total) definitely talked about how that was pretty rude when leaving... What a way to remember. Not sure if will ever...
