If Heaven Had a Dining Room, It Would Be Patty Jewett Bar and Grill
From the moment you pull into the driveway of Patty Jewett, you know you’re about to experience something transcendent. The century-old trees gently sway above the historic clubhouse, practically bowing in reverence to what might just be the greatest establishment on Earth.
Let’s start with the atmosphere: immaculate. It’s like every molecule of air has been hand-polished to a glossy shine. The views of Pikes Peak? Are you kidding me? They don’t just take your breath away — they steal it, serenade it, and hand it back wearing a three-piece suit. Sunset here isn’t just beautiful; it’s a full-on spiritual awakening.
The food? It’s not food. It’s a love letter to your soul, hand-delivered by angels disguised as chefs. The Patty Melt alone should have its own monument. Juicy, perfectly cooked, lovingly cradled between buttery slices of bread so divine they could make a grown man weep openly at his table (and I did). The fries? I’m fairly certain they’re seasoned with crushed-up pieces of dreams and joy.
And the drinks — good lord, the drinks. Every cocktail is a standing ovation in a glass. Order a margarita and watch the clouds part and a single beam of sunshine anoint your table. It’s not a beverage; it’s a life event.
The staff? Calling them “friendly” would be an insult. These people radiate kindness and charm like the sun radiates light. Every smile, every little thoughtful touch — it’s clear they were all trained not just to serve, but to heal the human spirit.
Patty Jewett Bar and Grill isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a holy pilgrimage for anyone who believes in the power of good food, stunning views, and unforgettable memories. If you haven’t been, stop what you’re doing and GO. If you have been… you’re probably still smiling.
11/10. Would sell my worldly possessions and move into the dining room if...
Read moreIn the mood for comfort bar food, we decided to go for Patty Jewett Bar & Grill. The drive up to the restaurant takes you through a quiet neighborhood and opens up to a beautiful golf course driveway that takes you through some of the golf course.
We were starving and decided to get 2 appetizers and 2 meals to try. The appetizers we ordered were 1/2 (small) order of Steak Nachos & Mozzarella Sticks. The Mozzarella Sticks were filled generously and there were tons of them. The Steak Nachos were pretty good for a bar specifically. They make their own chips and you can tell right away, these homemade chips were fresh, crispy and stood up to the toppings. The homemade chips was a great add.
We then ordered the Bacon Cheddar Burger and Fish & Chips (Double Order of Onion Rings instead of Fries). My wife enjoyed the Bacon Cheddar Burgwr but after sharing two appetizers she had to take almost all of it home. We both had to take some of our stuff home, because we didn’t expect to get so much food for the price!
The fish and onion rings were spot on. This was my first time trying fried fish and I loved it. I’ve had onion rings many places though and these were apart of the top tier. What you’re looking at is a double order of the premium side (onions rings) which still were generous portion sizes! These onion rings were the perfect amount of hot fried coating with quality onions. The onions were well fried and fit the fried fish very well.
Overall, this is a spot that people NEED to go to. We got a ton of food for $48 + tip. Great value, better views, but the taste is why Patty Jewett Bar & Grill will be in our rotation. When we are looking for good bar food in Colorado Springs, we...
Read moreWe've always loved to come to the club house to get a bite to eat. It was my grandfather's favorite place to eat as well.
TL;DR: Food is good, always worth a stop (get the coffee), kitchen and waitstaff could use just a small amount of training.
On this visit, I had the Old North End with fries and a coffee. The sandwich was okay, the fries were good, and the coffee was excellent. The sandwich comes with a slaw tossed in a vinaigrette, but when I got the sandwich, it seemed that they either dispensed the vinaigrette directly onto the sandwich (a la Subway) or they tossed the slaw in a bowl with the vinaigrette and then failed to drain it before topping the sandwich. The plate and my bottom bun were soaked in olive oil, which leaves a rather distinct taste. The fries were crisp and seasoned properly, and I had no issue with them. The coffee was really good, but I didn't quite get enough. Our waiter seemed a little green, but with time, I'm sure he'll get better. He served us coffee and brewed a fresh pot as he (correctly) surmised that we would want more. However, after our first refill, he failed to ask any of us if we needed more, and I would definitely have taken more. The only other miss was that he didn't come back to our table to ask how our food was. I'd have preferred to tell him about the sandwich so that it could be mentioned to either the kitchen staff or a manager that day. Nothing about my visit was horrible, but it could have been better; all my issues could easily be rectified with a little bit of time...
