First time at this location. Did the drive thru- my complaint on that is right behind the menu & speaker is a table for customers to sit outside, their voices made it hard for the worker to hear me even after speaking loud. The table should not be next to the speaker. Once we ordered, we drove up to pay, the girl may have been new, she asked us what did we order again? Which was weird being she repeated it to me before I drove up. Had to repeat what we wanted yet another time b/ she forgot what sizes. There were out of a certain chocolate custard so I asked what other chocolate custards they had and she said she didn't know. I ended up asking is Mint Chocolate Chip the same as their Mint Chip and she didn't know, so she went back in to ask. Also, the orders all came in a cup vs the waffle cone as pictured, we were never asked how we wanted it. I asked bout getting cones instead of a cup after she handed me cups and she said they were out of waffle cones and only had cake cones. I advised that they should ask the customers as well as let them know what they don't have. The manager i assumed seemed very apologetic. But overall the cups are super tiny. I think there needs to be a little more training to the drive through gal. Know your menu and know what isn't available. Also didn't seem she used the iPad to input our orders b/ she forgot what we ordered? Probably should use the system provided or at least write it down

Just the best, coming from the East Coast Italian ice is a must in the summer season 😋 Rita's Reminds me of those times. Great flavors and soft custard ice cream, too. The staff is always so friendly and service is fast. We do have to keep in mind that mostly teens work here like every ice cream 🍦 shop in America . They are not always as attentive to customers as a 5 star restaurant waiter, so be patient with them. At least they were willing to work. I've been coming here since they opened a few years ago. And enjoy my visits and treats. Thanks again!!!

We tried different flavors of custard and Rita's brownies this time and all enjoyed our dessert. Just be aware that there are not a ton of custard flavors. We will try the Italian ice the next time we visit. There are plenty of options of how you can enjoy the available flavors, too, such as in a cone, in a milkshake, in a sundae, or as an ice cream or brownie sandwich. You can even layer the Italian ice and custard, although I wasn't brave enough or hungry enough to try that combination this time.

Part 1: I'm very familiar with Rita's being from Maryland and living in Virginia/DC area. This Rita's here in Colorado I would not recommend. Their large twist come is the size of a small in Virginia and Maryland. I'm not some obese guy either complaining about the portion size. I'm in the military and maybe treat myself to sweets once a week if that. I will not return to this Rita's location because they steal customer's money with their small portion sized cones! Totally and completely disappointed after I finally found a Rita's here in Colorado Springs!!! Today was my first and last visit to Rita's!!! I'll just go back to Cold Stone near the AF Academy!

Part 2: My response to the owner: So basically, you are calling me a liar!? I lived at at various Rita locations in Maryland and Virginia over a 13 year period and your portions of your cones is truly pathetic and less than half the size of the cones in both of the Rita's in went to in Virginia and Maryland. Your cones not only ridiculously small but the service is trashy and unprofessional at your store. Your female brunette attendant today at your store was cursing, saying the F word, while my son and I were both in the store! I never mentioned that in my first review either! I'm not a liar and you are living in denial. Your Rita's location is absolutely not a good representation of what Rita's is on the East Coast. I have zero reason to lie and by you serving such small cones and having such a vulgar and trashy employee that was cursing and cracking jokes with her male coworkers, while customers like my son and I are in the store, is really pathetic! Furthermore, you, the owner were not present today while I was there so you did not witness my experience today and your response doesn't negate the facts of what happened today during my visit to your store. I've also served in the military now 22 years and counting, and I'm not a God damn liar! The Rita's I went to for 13 years is located right outside of Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Army post, close to Aberdeen High School, in Aberdeen, MD. The Rita's there has respectful young boys and girls working there and their portions are massive to where an adult almost cannot finish a large size cone. Your store is stealing people's money that have never been to a quality Rita's and all the good people of Colorado Springs don't know the portion size you give them is so much less than is served in Maryland and Virginia because they don't know any better and have never been to a real Rita's on the East Coast. My review stands and is 100% truthful and accurate. Your attitude sucks as an owner and you should be ashamed of your service and the amount of money you are charging for such small portions! You and your location are truly pathetic and I will never return to your store and I will blast this review out. You will 100% lose business for poor reviews of your store and service...

Lobby’s closed, so I brought my daughter on our electric bike to celebrate school being out and we had to go through the drive through on the bike. We sat there with only one car ahead of us for about 8 minutes (the other car pulled out 4 minutes or so after we got there. No call over the speaker no communication so finally I pulled up to the window. I could see the employees inside and they could see me from the drive through, but nothing. I then sat at the window while they took the order of the car behind us. Waited about a minute and knocked on the window before they finally came and unlocked and opened it. They claimed the mic and speaker don’t work unless there’s a car there. We’ve come on bikes before and it worked, so unless they changed the system that was a lie or there is a bypass they weren’t aware of. It was just hot enough sitting there on the pavement I was fairly annoyed. You could have motioned from the drive through window to pull up. You could have quickly stepped out the front door and waved us up. There were two people working at least and they weren’t busy. My daughter enjoyed her treat with extra cherries which hopefully wasn’t spit in, so I gave a star more than I would...
