We discovered Ajuua a few years back and it quickly became one of our favorites for good Mexican food. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and we see the owner almost every time we stop in. It does tend to get busy on the weekends and in the evening, so you might expect a short wait. It’s also a great place to grab takeout for one of the local Niwot events or Rock on the Rails. The margaritas here are good and are reasonably priced. If you are heading here for drinks, go on a Thursday when it’s 50% off all drinks. I think the Original and Blue Agave margs are the best. They also offer a Taco Tuesday special all you can eat taco plate. I recommend upgrading to the shredded beef tacos for a few dollars more. Absolutely love this location! Whether it's for a business lunch or date night, you can't go wrong. Recently renovated the inside is much brighter and more open than before. If you're fortunate enough to go during the spring/summer you can enjoy their lovely outdoor patio (It's even dog friendly!) The Jalapeno Ajuua appetizer dish is my absolute favorite! They pair fabulously with their House or Coin Style Margaritas. The food and drink menus are extensive so you are almost guaranteed to find something to suit everyone's tastes. The service is great, from the bartenders, to the servers, to the host and the manager, everyone is kind, courteous and attentive. Would you rather bad food with good service or bad service with good food? Because you are getting the latter here. The food is great, but the service is bad. Don't expect your server to ever check on you during your meal. Never checking to see if you need more to drink or more chips, etc. I really think they teleport to another place entirely, because you'll never see them again. The two times I ate here, both times they didn't bring an item that was ordered but since they perform a houdini act after they drop off your food, you'll be asking them to fix the check to remove the items.
