I love this restaurant and it hurts me that I have to give only 4 stars but the recent customer service experience compels me to write this to get out the frustration. Keep in mind the food is great and the order accuracy is excellent.
I had an issue with Grub Hub last night and it was entirely Grub Hub’s fault. The driver delivered my order to the wrong location and I never got the food. I then went on Grub Hub’s website and reported that all the items were missing. I thought it was odd that I had to specifically check each item that was missing and there was no option for the entire order. After I reported that all the items were missing it said that I would get a full refund.
I then called Grub Hub and they informed me that because I had filled that “items missing” form out the restaurant had refunded me. I told them it was not La Siesta’s fault and that Grub Hub should refund. They said there was nothing they could do and the restaurant would need to contact them. I then called the restaurant to explain so they could cancel the refund. I was just trying to help La Siesta not have to refund the money.
I called and immediately asked for a manager. The woman that answered started to cut me off as soon as I said “Grub Hub” and would not let me finish what I was trying to say. I kept trying to explain but she eventually hung up on me. I am sure they get tons of people trying to get refunds from them when it was Grub Hub’s fault but this is the exact opposite situation and I was just trying to help. At one point while she was talking over me I kept saying “I am trying to help you.” I then messaged them on Facebook but have not heard back.
I called back this afternoon hoping there was a different manager but it was the same woman. Again she kept talking over me and would not let me explain. She took down my name and number and said the owner would call me. I wanted to make sure they cancelled the refund before the transaction went through so I used Google translate. I typed out what I was trying to say them called her back yet a third time and read it to her in Spanish. She started talking back to me in Spanish and I said “no comprehindo” since I was just reading off my screen and don’t know how to comprehend it without Google Translate. She also kept asking me what company I work for. She ended up hanging up on me again.
It is really frustrating when I was just trying to help them not have to refund the money and I kept getting hung up on. Hopefully writing this review will get the attention of someone that realizes the good deed I am...
Read moreMy amiga/friend and I have been multiple times and never have had such a poor experience as today. We had a server named Juan who was very snobby and short with us from the get go. He also never brought out our food a different server brought out our food and Juan never came to ask us how does everything look/taste like a server is supposed to do. Juan passed us several times after we got our food and I said pardon/excuse me sir several times and never once did he stop so that my amiga could tell him that she needed something different on her food cause it was not correct. Juan eventually did stop at our table after my amiga/friend had put her full plate out at the end of the table and he asked “is there something wrong with it or do you not like?” and my amiga/friend said what was wrong with it and he said “well what do you want me to do?” And my amiga/friend said what she wanted done to make it right she said “she wanted queso/cheese on it cause there wasn’t any and the menu specifically stated it came on it” and Juan never asked if my amiga/friend wanted him to do that. He just shrugged his shoulders and decided that my amiga/friend just didn’t want to pay for it and removed it from her ticket. I got a to go box for my food and when we went to go check out the manager said that they cannot serve my amiga/friend anymore even though the server Juan was in the wrong for not checking on us, and then complaining to the manager about my amiga/friend instead of admitting his involvement and how he was in the wrong. I did not leave a tip as he did not serve us whatsoever besides take our order and bring our drinks out. I think both Juan and the manager are in the wrong like you should not deny service from here on out due to them being in the wrong. Read moreMe and my wife order the same even pointed it other menu still brought us the wrong entree then after about 10 minutes we finally got our waitress back over there and she didn't understand what we were trying to say so she called the night guy over there and I said we want the cheeriopolio he looks at her and pronounces it the same way I just did okay so they come back with it one dish of cheeriopolio give it to my wife and didn't take mine so I sit there and watch my wife and my youngest daughter eat which we ordered a children's chicken fingers with fries with a burger on the side they still charge you for two full meals no matter what if you just won't charge you just for a burger when I get there to pay for it they cost me $47 and I didn't even get to eat they wouldn't count nothing manager was rude they charged me for all three drinks so I didn't even drink my drink I just sat there and scratched a lot of tickets while they took both my wife and daughter ate had I went to Jose's Jose's with a Comped or they would have got the order right can I ask why am I being charged for two children's meal when all we ordered was one with a burger with it they said well we don't do that we charge for both of them what I'm seriously disappointed I didn't want to give it one star then when I got to pay for it lady working the cash register kept telling me to wait I've been waiting and she's taking care of I don't know how many people but I was there first and all I wanted to do was talk to the manager didn't matter I sat there and waited for a whole another 30 minutes to try to get this all squared away only just pay for the whole damn meal and I didn't even get to eat I got to watch my family poor service pour everything if that's how you want to treat your customers and guarantee you I'll never be back and either with anybody else that...
