Food I had wings they were extremely dry. lady who owns the establishment was extremely rude and cocky, perhaps because she’s young and owns a business however she needs to learn customer service is the most essential part of an successful business or just a business in general. Food in the picture and screen looks nothing like the food honestly 0/0 stars. She also got mad bc we ordered from here and tried to leave me a bad review for my business but I wasn’t the one who ordered the food and neither did I come into her establishment first before my friend I came to check on her and she saw me with her. She later went to my business that had nothing to do with ordering food from her business. She never booked a ride with my company before lol and left a review so I’ll report it to Google and show them this review on her Google. She’s very spiteful and rude and will never advise anyone to order from here. She’s doesn’t even greet the customers just stands there looking and hitting her vape in the kitchen. That’s so unsanitary and didn’t wash her hands at all. She made assumptions about my sister being a gf or friend. Maybe if she spent time getting to know her customers and greeting them she would be better aware of each individual who enters her establishment. Poor poor service...
Read moreI had not heard of this spot opening, and only found it when I drove by it one day. Figured I’d try it out since I still don’t have a solid wing spot after 7 years of being here. When you order 10 wings, you can get 2 sauces/rubs - I got garlic buffalo and buffalo lemon pepper. Wings were good size and cooked well. Garlic buffalo had really good flavor and you could see actual minced garlic in the sauce. Garlic lemon pepper was pretty strong lemon pepper but I like lemon pepper so suited me well. Neither overly spicy. We also tried the sliders sampler and all three were good. I was also happy to find someone here serving honey gold sauce which is one of my favorite. Wish they had honey hot (spicy version of honey gold), but beggars can’t be choosers. We got 2 small sides of fries - one original seasoning, one tangy southwest ranch. Small size is a really generous amount of fries. Original seasoning was fine but nothing crazy. Southwest ranch was really good. Overall, really great spot. Prices comparable to most wing spots....
Read moreI recently visited Cocky Rooster in Columbia’s Five Points, and wow, what an experience! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was electric—perfectly blending that Gamecock spirit with a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. The wings? Absolute perfection. I tried the smoked variety with the truffled Buffalo sauce, and they were juicy, flavorful, and packed a punch that left me craving more. The tenders were just as impressive—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and paired with their honey mustard barbecue sauce, it’s a combo I’ll dream about until my next visit. The staff was incredibly friendly and quick, making sure every table felt like VIPs. I love how they’ve embraced the local culture, with little nods to Columbia and USC throughout the space. The fries were a standout too—perfectly seasoned and the ideal sidekick to the main event. Whether you’re a wing aficionado or just looking for a spot to hang out, Cocky Rooster delivers on every level. Five stars all the way—I can’t wait...
