I had been here a couple of times prior to my last trip, but nothing really stood out as remarkable or horrible about any of those visits. Last time I went, though, was not good.
When my friend and I arrived, our server was extremely rude and short with us. He even went so far as to sigh heavily and half-roll his eyes when we told him we still weren't ready, but who could blame us? He came back a literal minute after being told we needed more time and leaving us to decide on our (alcoholic) drinks.
After we were rushed through ordering our food as well, we received everything in a timely manner, but our check came immediately after our plates, even though we had mentioned maybe getting a few drinks. We hadn't even taken a bite of the food yet!
A new server took over our table because we were still eating when the previous one left, instantly revealing that he was trying to rush us out for the tip. (If he had told us about the shift change, we could have accommodated, but instead we were just trying to be rushed at an unbelievable pace ) The rest of the meal went fine, but there was confusion when we closed out.
My friend and I wanted to split the check straight down the middle, with me paying with cash and her with card. When we got the ticket book back, however, all the cash I put in was used, and her card was charged the remainder. This miscommunication paired with the rude service we had received earlier left a horrible impression on us, and the food wasn't nearly good enough to make up for it. When I'm craving Mexican food, I'm definitely going somewhere else...
Read moreOne of my favorite Mexican Restaurants in Columbia. The food is always amazing. If you are either really hungry or want to feed 4-6 people I highly recommend the nachos that have chicken beans sour cream and guacamole etc on them the price is great. I’ve shared them as a meal and had enough for another when both of us were really hungry and the chicken was piled high and everything was well distributed. I have also eaten them with 5 others as an app and not been able to finish our entree as they are THAT BIG!!
I have ordered almost everything on the menu from chimichanga to quesadilla to spinach enchiladas. I often go with my parents and my dad orders something off the vegetarian menu and is always happy. The Chili Rellano is amazing they remove the seeds and top and the egg breading is light and fluffy.
If you want excellent service here is the place to come I’m always happy the service is above and beyond.
The salsa is on the calliente (hot) side so if you want mild let them know you want the warm salsa or add 2 packets of sugar (1 at a time) to cut the heat {Thank you Rachael Ray}.
The guacamole made table side is really yummy and super chunky you can also ask them to go easy on the jalapeño or even leave it out or if you like it extra hot they will do it for you. Speaking of...any changes to the menu are no problem. They will add mushrooms to the fajitas or anything else for that matter (Hongas in espanol) oh so yummy if you don’t want peppers note the onions and peppers are a mix so you take one out you lose both
I highly...

If you’re going for standard fare, you know what you want, and you don’t show up during rush hour? You’re going to have a hit-experience.
But, this is my third time ordering their Birria De Res and I must say I’m a little disappointed.
For one it’s the only restaurant I know of in como that has it on the menu. And two, idk if they just used to prepare it differently now/different cook /or/ they had to cut back on ingredients due to the unknown-level of this dish but—
Wow? Last year around fall 2023 it was the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. Literally the beef melts in your mouth, I thought I had died and gone to heaven but this— this had a beef consistent with that of corned-beef that had been stewed longer than usual. Not the consistency of traditional birria; my boyfriend is Mexican and he confirmed it through texture it’s not really birria anymore.
😢
A note to the owners, put the old recipe for birria on the traditional menu and highlight it. Trust me you will have people raving for this dish, but as it is now…. I’m gonna have to break out the molcajete and try it myself next time.
Regardless, used to be my go-to, but now I’m looking for something to fill the emptiness in my heart 😢(and stomach.)
Love you guys,...
